What is "me-mops" you may ask?

kit_kats_mom wrote: well I did ask. After Katherine's repeating "mee mops" over and over and over again today with intense feeling, I finally called my mom and Dh asking them if that sounded like a word and I was just missing it. For example she was saying "die die" when we read certian books. It took me awhile to realize that everytime she said it, there was a picture of something going to bed and she was saying "night, night". rolling_smile.gif They had no idea and Katherine's frusteration with my lack of communication was getting out of hand. She would not point to anything in particular when she was saying it which is how I usually figure out her toddlerse for things so I really had no clue. In the car she kept saying mee mops and at home same thing. Finally she gave us a clue. Tonight she ran to the radio and turned it on and screamed "MEE MOPS!" It's MUSIC!!

This parenting thing is really hard. dry.gif tongue.gif

there should be a toddler-to-grown up translation book somewhere!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: LOL!!!! Yes we have had these moments as well. Someone needs to come out with a toddler translation book. rolling_smile.gif

Jamison'smama replied: hey we get "die die" for night night as well---

Took us a while to get baa-bool meant ball--isn't it easier to say ball than baa-bool? -- What they come up with is amazing.

I love the me mops--that is really cute!

ediep replied: very cute!! I need a translator too....Jason was saying ......key!!!!! for the longest time, when finally he said it after his bath when I said "all clean!" he repeated me....."Key!" rolling_smile.gif

Ashley can't say music either. She is a Shaniah Twain fan, so when she wants to hear "Come on Over" she will point to the computer and say "wooo wooo woo" and when she wants to hear "Any man of mine" she will say " Ya Ya Ya" .... those songs have those lyrics in the middle of the song and Ashley will sing them with Shaniah sometimes. rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

CantWait replied: rolling_smile.gif hahaha she is soooo cute rolling_smile.gif
