What is it about...

Is it the people, climate, family roots, cultureā¦.etc.
I have not traveled much so I am just curious.
kimberley replied: family, tolerance, multiculturalism, urbanization (sometimes), cleanliness, good recycle program lol. definitely NOT the schools or the cold!
Mom2BNTN replied: For me ...... I like living in Tennessee, because my DH and I are close to both of our families and friends. However, I would be happy living anywhere with my hubby!!
luvmykids replied: I love NM in general for the weather (most of the state has all 4 seasons), the mountains, which I look at every day, the fact that so much of it is still wide open spaces. You cannot get the food anywhere else, you have not had true Mexican food unless you've had it here. Ummm... the family is a big part of it, although it's just my mom here, the rest is scattered. I haven't traveled a lot but so far enough to know that this is really home.
I don't like that we're living in the city right now, but even that isn't too bad, we're still small enough I guess.
mckayleesmom replied: I didn't have a choice
ammommy replied: It's cheap and the in-laws are close so the kids can see them often.
kit_kats_mom replied: Ethnic Diversity, lots of family friendly things to do in the area, great places nearby to explore nature, climate....oh, there's lots really.Florida is pretty nice for the most part.
zdk753 replied: What I love about the town I live in is the fact it is so small (only about 400 people). It's nice living somewhere where you pretty much know everyone, you really don't have to worry about someone taking your kids, you can sleep w/ the doors unlocked & not worry about being robbed. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
luvbug00 replied: We live in the Virginia, Dc, maryland area. We have the metro ( soo crowded) near monuments & museams, Great school sytems ( top schools in the nation) and diverce. The only probem is it's soooooo friggin crowded and it's getting worse. traffic stinks!

You know that as a Texan I have to argue that statement! LOL!
I don't know there is something about the south... people are friendly, it is a bit slower paced, there is a such thing as the Good Ol boys here still, women are still deferred to-can't tell you how many men I know still say Yes ma'm when they speak to me,or will say Excuse me ma'm if they say something a little off color We are close enough to big cities that we can go play/shop/eat there and come home, and what can I say The stars at night are BIG and Bright.....Deep in the heart of Texas!
luvmykids replied: OK, I'll rephrase it. There's nothing like NEW Mexican food.
My3LilMonkeys replied: Our family is here, and I enjoy the weather for the most part.
BAC'sMom replied: My turn...
People are friendly.... everybody waves to each other. Climate is great.... rather humid though. Beach within seconds. Shopping within minutes. Nice parks and tons of stuff for the kids to do. The BEST food in the world! (Sorry Monica)
luvmykids replied: OK you guys, I'm going to say this nicely. I've had Mexican food in Texas. We call it "Texican". Thats all I'm going to say about it.
