What does my husband want?
coasterqueen wrote: My husband has been a donkey's butt lately thinking that being 9 months pg is nothing and that I should be able to do anything and everything,etc....anyways not here to complain.
But he MUST want something because he's being sooooooooo super nice! Last night when I got home from the allergist office he cooked us all dinner, which he always does, but then after dinner he told me he was taking Kylie downstairs to watch Shrek so I could relax. HUH? Wow, how nice. So I got 2 hours to myself and got to catch up on my soaps. Probably should have done something more productive but oh well.
Anyways, so also he emailed me yesterday stating he was buying me a new water heater for my garden tub so I could take more baths after the baby comes. Right now our garden tub takes 70 gallons to fill up and we only have a 50 gallon water heater. I was floored because we don't really have the money to do it and he's been saying for the past 5 years that SOMEDAY I'd get a new one. So I was really excited about this and I can't believe I'm going to get one.
AND last night he told me I could order the two scrapbooks I've been wanting so I can finish my digital scrapbooking and they aren't cheap!
THEN, and get this...he emailed me this morning telling me he was taking me to my FAVORITE italian place for lunch today. So I had a yummy yummy lunch.
What on earth is he wanting?
redchief replied: Perhaps the donkey saw his butt in the mirror and called a card a card
Hope everything continues to improve!!!!
MomToMany replied: Hmmmmm, I'm wondering what he did wrong, LOL! He's trying to cover something up I bet!
J/K!
You sure deserve all of that AND MORE, Karen. I'd pamper you all the time if I could!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Well whatever it is it sounds nice! Maybe he just realized that he should be treating you like a princess and is making up for lost time. Enjoy it!
coasterqueen replied: You are so sweet! I think he's wanting some electronic thingy. It HAS to be. He just emailed me wondering what my thoughts were on an ice machine for his bar....so that might be it. OH well, I'll take a bit of pampering every once in awhile. I know I take him for granted too sometimes. Shhhhhhh, if you see him, don't tell him I admitted to that though.
TANNER'S MOM replied: I have a big garden jaquzzi tub..and I have two hot water heaters too. What we did was one for electric and one gas..That way if we are ever with out one or the other we can take a bath or whatever..Just a thought!
I love mine, and I love always having hot wate with 2 girls in the house!

coasterqueen replied: Dh will never go with gas (propane, in our case) because it's so darn expensive. Our propane costs us over $400 a month and then our electric costs us in the winter months $200+ a month so we will always go with electric because overall the prices are better than the propane ones are. We have to prepay for our propane in advance, etc...so he'd never go for it.
TANNER'S MOM replied: Oh No it's not much more than it would be anyway. We have propane too, and there is no difference in the cost with the hot water heater and with out. We have it where we use our electric first..and gas last. That way that tank doens't fill up as often..
New hot water heaters are very effiect these days..electric and propane!
But I understand Karen, It was just a thought!
kimberley replied: lol lap it up girl!! i think a couple of days of pampering merit an ice machine
A&A'smommy replied: wellll lol I would hope that he is just being sweet!!
coasterqueen replied: Do you know how much those stupid ice machines cost? They are outrageous...I think he thinks money is gonna come out of his bum or something because I have no idea what scheme he's up too. But you are right.
DVFlyer replied: *cough* alterior motive *cough*
Or maybe he's been reading some of the posts here.
loveydad replied: Maybe he just realized how special you are and how wonderful you are for carrying his second daughter
Plus he may realize the day is approaching when Megan comes and he's better get his good word in now!
coasterqueen replied: Awww you men are being really sweet. Thanks for your perspective on this.
MommyToAshley replied: I think an ice machine deserves at least a week of pampering... so milk it for all you can.
Seriously, you deserve a little pampering, so enjoy! Maybe get a new wardrobe out of it too.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Scotty did this too right before I had Ethan. He took Maddie to work with him and to Chuck E Cheese, etc so I could get a break. He was so nice!!
I know how important those baths are after you have a baby!! I'm so glad he is being so wonderful to you. You truly deserve it.
DVFlyer replied: A thought just occurred to me about this.
I think that guys (or maybe it's just me) don't get sense of how real a baby is during the pregnancy. How could we? We're just a spectator in all of this. But, as it gets close, i.e. last month or so, the reality sets in.
We might think hmmm. This IS really going to happen. We ARE really going to have a baby. There's no way to back out of this now....... (just seeing if you're paying attention)
So, maybe his actions are this realization for him. He sees, now that it's so close, the "event" is real.
Do I get my Sigmund Fraud diploma yet?
coasterqueen replied: You crack me up. I think you are right that men think that way, but not a good excuse with a second baby, ya think? Just kidding.
lovemyboy replied: Enjoy your pampering now! 9 months pregnant you're very close to the end! Congrats.
moped replied: Sounds like a dream to me!
I think he is trying to make you comfortable, being pg.......................take it while you can!
