What do you think?

And it's even worse today, after being on benedryl all day yesterday. I just don't want to take any chances with his eyes..they're too important, ya know...maybe I'm being too paranoid and protective.. Anyways, I just called an eye center and got him an appointment..I hate not having that full trust with what my ped told me yesterday, but it just doesn't seem right....so his apt is 9:45 est so I have to get out of here.. I'll let ya'll know what I find out!
ediep replied: awwww, I really thought his eye would be better by now. Good Luck!!!
porksdad replied: Well I hope it turns out to be nothing, certainly have no clue myself--but I would tell you what I always tell my wife...
'Your the mother, if you are worried we take her to the Doctor, better to go 100 times and be wrong 99 than miss the one time when it is needed.Once you are worried it is better to go to an expert because you will never forgive yourself after if it proves to be something worth worrying about'

so we go quite often lol--and I think you are quite right to go and be sure rather than staying home and worrying
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I hope everything turns out okay. Please let us know what the eye specialist says.
kimberley replied: the benadryl probably cleared the redness from his eye but it won't take away the swelling and redness of the lid, especially if he rubs it. my eyes were practically swelled shut for almost 2 days and it took about 3 more for it to completely be gone (it was a little puffy). take him to the specialist to ease your mind. let us know how it goes.
coasterqueen replied: It's probably just the allergies, but I would do the same. Let us know how it went!
Boys r us replied: Well, I'm VERY glad I took him. Because like I said..the eye itself has never been red, which was why I had a hard time believing it was an allergy, it was only the lid. The optomatrist said it was a sty(SP?) and that he was glad I brought him in b/c as young as he is, if his eye had stayed closed as it currently is for long, it could easily have caused a lazy eye, which obviously isn't life threatening so it wouldn't have been the end of the world..but it's something preventable..so I'm glad I took him! I have to keep warm compresses on it for the next couple of days and put an antibiotic ointment inside his eye 2x a day.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I'm glad you took him in! I hope his eye gets better soon!
MommyToAshley replied: Glad you took him in! I had a sty once and it hurt...but the thing that really helped is the warm compresses, like the eye doc said! I hope his eye is back to normal in no time!

Jamison'smama replied: awwe, good think you took him in! Way to go with your mother's intuition!
amynicole21 replied: I was thinking it could be a sty since the benedryl wasn't working... Good for you for trusting your instincts Hope he's feeling better soon.
Kaitlin'smom replied: glad you took him....wtg on mommy instincs....hope it heals soon I hear sty's are not fun.
coasterqueen replied: Nichole,
tell that boy to stop peeing in the road! My mom would always tell me that's how you get styes.
I remember having them as a kid, ugh, ouch!
Glad you went with mommy intuition!
Mom2Boyz replied: I'm glad you found out what was going on!! Hopefully he's feeling better soon Stys are NO fun
A&A'smommy replied: I'm glad you found out what it is! I have had TWO of those this year and probably within two months of each other it was not fun but they usually go away pretty quick. Poor boy I hope that he is feeling better now!
aspenblue1 replied: Glad you took him! I hope it clears up soon.
