What do you pick out of your child's - Trick or Treat bag?

I like the mini candy bars. Twix, Snickers, Hershey's w/Almonds, Kit Kat....you get the point.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Since candy is considered junk around here and is a special treat, I can do alot of "stealing" since I will throw it away-- yeah right, throw it into our closet . But I like sweettarts & smarties the best.

hawkshoe replied: I go through their treat bags and take out the stuff I know they don't like, like things with nuts or coconut in them, or things they can't eat. Then I go through the discarded pile and pick out what I want. My favorites are almond joys.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I don't generally steal the kids candy... but I like having the mini bars when they share...

I do go through it with them though, and together we toss stuff that people made, like baggies of popcorn and stuff like that... although a nice gesture, too many freaks and you never know what could be poisoned... we generally toss anyhting that's easily re-closed like boxes of raisins...and as for hard candies, they aren't allowed them, period...so those usually go to my mom for her office candy bowl. Last year, we removed stuff from Emilie's bag that she couldn't have, like nuts or whatever, and dh ate those, I don't really like nuts.

Then they can only have a piece here and there, as a special treat...

booey2 replied: I love the old fashioned candy that usaually no one likes, the Halloween Kisses, in the orange and black wrappers. I know they are not peanut butter ones but they rock. The boys don't usually get many of those because not many people give them out anymore.
