What do you guys think of this name?
kit_kats_mom wrote: Our friends just had thier 3rd girl (Taitum and Isabella are the others) and they sent out an email saying that they didnt' have a name yet and ideas were welcome. I sent Tallulah as a joke even though I do like that name and DH gave me grief for it. They just sent out her name....Quincy Grace. I'll be honest, I don't really care for it and I usually like odd names.
moped replied: Quincy - NO Grace - Yes.......
Wouldn't be my first choice.
DansMom replied: Quincy---not crazy about it either. At least they didn't name her Poindexter.
kristy-n-chad replied: It's ok. I would prefer Quinn, but that wouldn't flow well with Grace. Then again, I don't really like Grace, that and Rose are the new "filler" middle names.
coasterqueen replied: For a girl? No way. Don't like it. I do like Grace though.
grapfruit replied: Not crazy about it. I don't think it sounds very good together.
BTW Tallulah is my cousin's daughter's name. In his defense he's Indian (from India) and it's more traditional. His youngest daughter's name is Daya (I'm not sure on the spelling of either)
sparkys2boys replied: I like Grace but that's it for a girl.. oh well, as long as they are happy!!
amynicole21 replied: I don't mind it.
CantWait replied: Quincy to me sounds a little like a boys name, I like Grace though.
3xsthefun replied: It is ok, not that bad really. Sounds more like a boy name to me though.
ediep replied: i don't hate it, but i wouldn't name my baby that
Kaitlin'smom replied: I dont care for it, Quincy sounds like a boys name.
TheOaf66 replied: sounds kind of unisex to me and it would just make me think of the Dr Show from long ago, nope don't care for it either
mom21kid2dogs replied: I like the name for a bassett hound, but not a child.
But then again, I'm not wild about the name Bohdi either and that's my poor nephew's name. They like it so I guess that's the main thing.
cameragirl21 replied: i don't care for it because it sounds like a boys' name and tbh i don't like it for a boy either. but i do like Grace. i think some people nowadays are trying very hard to give their kids very original names and sometimes take it to the extreme, like Apple and Shiloh for instance. But now other people are catching on and i had a client call me the other day to announce the arrival of their daughter, Apple. then again, people think i'm nuts because i love the name Acacia for a girl. i just love trees....
Boys r us replied: ehhh, I don't care for it..it's a little too boyish for me! Though this coming from the girl who named her daughter an ultra feminine name...lol!
BTW..Tellulah is adorable!!!!
Mommy2BAK replied: OMG I think Tallulah is SUPER CUTE!!!
As far as Quincy Grace...DH's fam had a dog named Quincy, so I don't really view it as a girlie name. But then again, who am I to judge? I just love odd names though!
Calimama replied: LOL my sister and her husband called my nephew Tallulah before they found out the sex. Anyway I dont like the name Quincy.. it wouldnt have been anywhere NEAR my list of names. We tend to use Italian based names for our heritage though so that could be part of it.
luvbug00 replied: ******Acacia ??? how do you pronounce that??? *****
and on the post i think that is a masculine name and i bet she will want her middle name as a first name.
kit_kats_mom replied: It's a type of tree. It's pronounced uh-kay-shuh I think.
cameragirl21 replied: it's pronounced ah-kay-shuh with an accent on the kay, like ahKAYshuh. it's a type of tree and you all know how much i love trees. everyone thinks i'm crazy to even entertain the idea of naming a child this but IMO it sure beats Apple anyday. i like apples to but i'm not big on the idea of naming my child after something that you eat, especially not a girl....
luvbug00 replied:
I like acasha ( pardon the phonetic spelling of mine I'm too lazy to copy and paste)
I like apple ALOT though. really cute IMO
holley79 replied: Not sure if I like Quincy for a girl. It's cute though.
Iluvmyboys replied: Quincy has a nice ring but I dont care for it but it is different. But I do like Grace though
My2Beauties replied: Quincy is cute for a boy...but not a girl IMHO! I love Grace as a first or middle name.
mckayleesmom replied: That was our birds name......and a week after we got Quincy I found out our friend named her son that.......
I don't think I would name MY child that....but it isn't half as bad as some.
A&A'smommy replied: I think its cute!!!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Not a fan of Quincy for a girl....
JadensMama05 replied: I'm not to partial to the name at all.. I had a duck named Quincy once.. And altho I love classic, old fashioned names, Grace isn't one of my favorites at all. Not big on one sylabol (sp?) names I think. But I love Tallulah and Acacia (Oh and Alexandra MiaBella.. not only cuz I'm an Alexandra but MiaBella for a middle name! Beautiful!)
