What do I do? I found a dead cat.

Anyway, silly question, how do you bury a cat? I feel so sorry for the poor thing, I want to bury it under a pretty tree in my back yard. Do I put in in a bag and bury it?? I'm asking because I remember someone saying you can't bury cat's or dogs in bags??
luvmykids replied: I have no idea, I found one and put it in a bag in the freezer until trash day
mckayleesmom replied: I would just bury it in a bag.....
martzfam27 replied: We found one out in the street not to long ago. We got a number from the yellow pages that picks up dead animals from the street. I dont know about your area but they didnt charge us since it didnt seem to belong to anyone. Or I would just put it in a trash bag and bury it
hawkshoe replied: I would just bury it by itself, not in a bag, that way mother nature could take care of the decomposition. Try to bury it deep to keep other animals away from it.
My3LilMonkeys replied: This is what my mom did with all of her dogs that died.
gr33n3y3z replied: just dig a hole deep so other animals cant dig it up Thats sad
~Roo'sMama~ replied: When we burried my cat we put her in a small cardboard box - more compost-able than plastic. I just couldn't handle not putting her in anything.
CantWait replied: Double
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Just bury it-no bag around it...it will take longer for nature to take her course if surrounded in plastic I am sorry you found that!
luvbug00 replied: depends on where you live here it is against the law to bury a critter in your yard but people ( like us) still do it. don't forget at least 3 feet deep!
Nina J replied: Thanks everyone. I havn't buried it yet, but I'll just dig a hole and put it in it..I should say, DH will dig the hole for me
