What did you all get for Valentines day?

Boys r us replied: Well, I got my 600 count red sheets that I was dying to have and I just now got my UPS package at work with my Vermont Teddy-Gram in it!
It was really sweet and thoughtful..could be more to come considering we have a long night planned to come. But if not, I'm happy with my gifts and can say that I love my DH to pieces today for doing something sweet and off of the beaten path.

Altho I did get him something and so did Kaitlin but it was nothing big just a little something. I dunno if he really is going to do something, but if not I hope he does not feel bad about getting something...I (we) did get Kaitlin something.

mckayleesmom replied: I got my gallbladder and gallstones taken out....HOW ROMANTIC HUH??....We have been so busy in and out of the hospital that it kind of passed our minds. I did get him a card a couple days before the surgery,,,but I doubt I got anything. He did buy me roses when I was laid up though.

I got a lovely breakfast in bed this morning and a 2 huge boquets of roses.One red and one yellow..I adore yellow roses!!

Then hubby and I had a lunch together and we had a romantic dinner!Its amazing that we managed some times for ourselves!!!

I get a really nice evening with my hubby and my baby girl. That's my V-day present. We will all exchange cards as a family tonight and I'm picking up italian so no-one has to cook or do dishes. Then we'll all cuddle and watch some tv and play games and just have fun. I couldn't ask for anything more.

i got nada. not even a happy valentine's day. not from DH anyway

i sent him an e-card from me and one from the kids. the one from me is hanging in cyber space somewhere . i made him breakfast and added some sweets to his lunch for work. he won't be home until 10:30pm so nothing special here. will probably send him a romantic email and have a candlelit dinner for when he gets home and put the bedroom lit in candles.

Same here, Karen! Actually, my mother was in town so we got to go to the movies last night alone. Tonight we are getting Italian food and watching a movie. I got him and the kids a little something and I know he will be bringing something home for each of us (very small token) when he gets off work.

booey2 replied: Well we ordered in Chinese last night and DH the nerve to repeatedly ask me, "We didn't really make a big deal of Valentines in the past did we?" I mean he asked it about 10 times yesterday. So I showed him all the cards he gave me over 15 years of Valentines. So my gift to me was my Gazelle, just waiting patiently til it gets here. We may get some tonight too, so that may be part of my gift, DH isn't home yet so who knows he probably stopped somewhere to get a card and a rose for me from the boys.


Edited to say: He just got home and brought in a card and scratch and win ticket to give me from him and the boys.

Whoops forgot to mention the chocolate truffle hearts he got me. I amde him a card this morning on the computer. We are going out for dinner on Thursday to celebrate, we got a gift certificate for Christmas to Montanas.

MomToMany replied: I got a nice, 3 1/2 hour break away from the kids with my hubby . It's been a LONG time since we went anywhere alone, and we enjoyed every minute of it! His mom came and watched the kids. LOL, when we first left, DH said "Canada or Mexico???"! I told him Mexico, it's warmer there, LOL!

We had a couple errands to run, then we went and had a great supper together. I actually had an alcoholic drink!! The first one in over 3 years! DH had a non-alcoholic drink, since he was driving. But it was great! We really needed that!

I got him a card and a bag of his favorite candy. Not much, but he loved it! He didn't get me anything, but the night out was his idea . I LOVE my hubby!!!

I told Hubby I didnt want anything But I wanted to save money so I can get a new washer and dryer which I need badley.

then we got ds a stuffed animal..... a puppy with a red ribbon on it.... since it is his first v-day, but he's too small to get much else....

and tonight dh is gunna take me out to dinner @ any restrant I want.... I think I'm gunna go for red lobster... mmmm
