What chore do you put off the - longest?

mckayleesmom wrote: Mine is mopping. I will sweep....but it takes me forever to get the will to mop. All our floors are hardwood and it seems to take forever rolling_smile.gif . Plus I always move the furniture and mop under that too....so it takes a while.

Can you tell that today is mopping day? rolling_smile.gif

TheOaf66 replied: for me it would be cat litter box

stella6979 replied: Cleaning the bathtub. Actually cleaning the bathroom at all is my least favorite of all chores.

grapfruit replied: Mopping here too! sleep.gif

moped replied: My bedroom - I don't have enough room for my clothes and Toms clothes - always a mess

Crystalina replied: mopping. I haaate it! Right now the area around my house is so muddy and it takes DH forever to get his boots on and off that he just leaves them on. We have hardwood so there are no rugs to worry about but it's such a mess! And we've had nothing but rain forever so then the dogs come in with their muddy feet. mad.gif

lisar replied: I am with the majority here. Mopping. I hate it. And with all the mud at our house its something I have to do ALL the time.

MommyToAshley replied: LAUNDRY!

I will mop for you if you do our laundry. laugh.gif

5littleladies replied: Definitely laundry. You can't even imagine how much laundry we have piled up. wacko.gif I used to put off my mopping forever but I don't have a problem with that anymore. wink.gif

DillsMommy replied: Cleaning my bedroom and bathroom. That was actually my goal for today. Guess what still didn't get done..... blush.gif

skinkybaby replied: All of it. I hate it all! rolleyes.gif

Calimama replied: It's a 3way tie between mopping, cleaning the kitchen, and laundry.

DH loves to clean the kitchen but unfortunately he's never here! rolling_smile.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Ditto. I hate laundry. I start it, but usually Troy ends up finishing it while I am at work. laugh.gif

I don't mind mopping. I usually don't mop though, I do the hands and knees method because the mop just "pushes" the dirt around instead of picking it up.

lovemy2 replied: Putting away laundry....

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Ooooooooooo....I change my answer....I hate putting it away FAR more than washing it. laugh.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Deal...I would rather do laundry

coasterqueen replied: What chore do I put off the longest? That would be plural for me - chore(s) - ALL OF THEM. rolling_smile.gif blush.gif I hate it all, despise it all. I used to be the cleanest neat freak you'd ever meet until I had kids. Then I lost all energy to do anything because they either destroy it after I clean it or I just plain don't have the energy to do any of it. But if I had to choose it would be cooking and I don't even cook. Yes, I consider cooking a chore! Even though Dh cooks, I despise the thought of having to go home after a hard day at work and even think about the act of cooking, cleaning it up, etc, etc. wacko.gif

Mom2Meg&Alyx replied:
I have very little areas in my house to mop, so I don't have your problem. I wanted to share a suggestion my mom gave me though about the dogs. I make my dog sit calmly before she can come in. We had a nice crop circle (mud area were we had a pool) so when it rained she would get muddy paws and then come in on my carpet. My mom said to put a towel next to the door and since she already had to sit to just wipe her paws before she came in. It worked, other than it lead to my least favorite chore and that is not just laundry but folding laundry. I hate that more than anything.

sparkys2boys replied: I think I should have avoided this topic..lol.. I kinda.. well.. sorta.. like housework blush.gif I know, I am a freak right tongue.gif

lovemy2 replied:
I am not quite THAT much of a freak but I do love to vacuum blush.gif and clean the bathrooms blush.gif blush.gif and do dishes blush.gif blush.gif blush.gif

A&A'smommy replied: ummm washing dishes I hate cleaning the toilet more but I don't put that one off tongue.gif

HuskerMom replied: I would say putting away the laundry. I don't mind washing it at all but I dread putting it away.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: cleaning my room, its a disaster with clothes and clutter

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
DITTO!!! My bedroom is always a mess. There's just not enough space. dry.gif

I hate cleaning the kitchen. I hate the playroom. I hate mopping. I hate cleaning. period. I blogged about it if you are interested in my rant. Funny I didn't see this topic before I wrote my blog, either.

moped replied:
I bet you anything my bedroom is worse for clothes laying around

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yep, I would have to agree with mopping. Although putting laundry away after it's folded is up there on my list too. I don't mind DOING laundry, do it at least once a day as a matter of fact. But it's putting it away that I procrastinate on. It sits in the basket for several days sometimes to the point it's dirty again!!

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
laugh.gif well, I'm not about to take a picture, but we are remodeling our master bath and it's completely ripped out. No walls, no floor......All of our bathroom stuff is in our bedroom. I've tried to contain it, but it's still all over the place. And our furniture is antique. It's been in Scotty's family for hundreds of years and he doesn't want to get rid of it. But all we have is this tiny tiny chest of drawers. We do have 2 closets, but it's not enough. And I purge clothing constantly. rolleyes.gif

So, when we have company I just shove everything in there and close the door. rolling_smile.gif I don't even care anymore. That's sad.

Teesa®© replied: I love doing dishes and laundry. But I do hate folding the sheets. Instead of being smart and folding one or two sets at a time, I usually end up waiting until all 12 sets need to be done tongue.gif Lately, I just grab them off the clean laundry pile and put them on the beds emlaugh.gif

I hate mopping because of all the ceramic tile in my house. Our kitchen is 30x10 feet and all ceramic tile. The grout is deep so I have to do the whole thing by hand in order to get the dirt up. One individual tile at a time. *sighs* Sweeping is a pain because it just gets stuck in the grout, too. Many a time, I've swept the kitchen and gone over it again and still got tons of stuff up. I even have a long bristled broom.

My place would have always passed the White Glove Test... till I had more children... and a DH. It's messy, but still mostly clean.
