Nina J wrote: Just wondering what everyone is reading happy.gif

I'm reading Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. I read it years ago but I can hardly remember anything about it.

C&K*s Mommie replied: I'm not reading anything at the moment, I go through spells of desiring to read and being more interested in hobbies. The last book I read was Kansas Brides by Denise Hunter. Captivating by John & Stasi Eldredge is one I have yet to finish, but I have not picked it up in a long time to continue reading.

Our Lil' Family replied:
Oh Nic, let me know how this is, I've had my eyes on it for a while!

I'm reading Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.

mckayleesmom replied: I just finished The Guy Not Taken by Jennifer Wiener.....

She is one of my favorite authors, but I was disapointed by this book....It was a collection of short stories that just left you stumped....its like she didn't finish the stories or I totally missed the point. laugh.gif

JadensMama05 replied: I'm reading What to Expect the Toddler Years, LOL. Just that and your guys' posts! smile.gif

Crystalina replied:
I'm not reading anything right now. I've made up my mind that the next book I read will be Wuthering Heights. I was bidding on a leather bound 1943 copy it on ebay and lost. I don't want to buy just any copy of it so I'm refusing to read until I get the copy I want. I haven't checked this week for another good copy so I'll have to get on that.

McKenna replied: Just finished 'Quest for Lost Heroes' and about to read 'Waylander II-In the Realm of the Wolf' both are by David Gemmell one of my two favourite writers, was quite saddened last week when I discovered he had died last year. He's an excellent fantasy writer although I dont know if his books are available in America.

TANNER'S MOM replied: I am reading Blow Fly by Patricia Cornwell. I love her Dr Scarpetta series.

grapfruit replied:

Barack Obama's autobiography
Rereading a collection of Steven King short stories.
I just finished
Lisey's Story by Steven King and a book by Patricia Cornwell

Cece00 replied: Nothing right now. I just dont have a lot of time for it...between the 4 kids and the house and working PT, I usually read a magazine for about 5-10 minutes once or twice a week. It would take me forever to get through a book right now.

DillsMommy replied:
My Dh is reading that. He said I'm not aloud to read it until he's done. I really like Nicholas Sparks. I've read several of his book. But nothing right now...

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I'm reading Eragon. I'm one of those silly people who have to read a book first before seeing the movie. happy.gif It's a pretty good book so far.

I have at least 6 or 7 books in the wings. My brother got me a $100 gift card to Books-A-Million for Christmas so I went there and had a little fun. wink.gif

holley79 replied: I am currently reading Nora Roberts Valley of Silence. It's the last book in the trilogy. I think I only have a Chapter left and it is awesome.

MomToJade&Jordan replied:

A&A'smommy replied: I just started Safe Harbor by Danielle Steele I'm a huge fan of her books and I love it when a movie comes out about them especially after reading the book!! tongue.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Just finished "Dear John" by Nicholas Sparks.

Now I'm reading "A Good Yarn" by Debbie Macomber. It's the sequel to "The Shop on Blossom Street"

All good books..highly recommend anything from either of these authors wink.gif

I'm a big reader. I pick up a new book every couple of days, but I like the easy reads most of the time. happy.gif

I've also got two diet books I'm reading. emlaugh.gif

I have the 4th Sisterhood book on reserve at the library....can't wait til that comes in. biggrin.gif

grapfruit replied: *sigh* I love books wub.gif

emlaugh.gif

holley79 replied:
I have every single "In Death" book. I love Nora Roberts/ JD Robb. I'm totally addicted to her.

mom2my2cuties replied:
I haven't gotten into her Nora Roberts stuff yet...I LOVE the Eve, Roarke, She-Body, McNab thing though wub.gif

This latest one threw me though...Toward the end it seemed almost like Eve was starting to entertain the idea of motherhood...and starting even have more tolerance for Summerset.

From the descriptions of the characters though, sounds like a child between Eve and Roarke would be absolutely gorgeous.

Calimama replied: I'm reading the sequel to "Left behind" by Jerry B. Jenkins, Tim F. LaHaye called, "Nicolae: The Rise of Antichrist." It's reallllllly good! Basically about the world ending. wink.gif

DansMom replied: In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. Heartbreaking---and so well written. I want to read it before I see Capote.

I'm with all of you who like the Patricia Cornwell series.

I bought three parenting books for Christmas which I plan to read very soon. The one I've skimmed and which looks pretty good is How to Talk to Kids so They'll Listen and Listen so They'll Talk. What I like is that it has comic strips showing ineffective and effective ways of dealing with common situations---seems simplistic, but it's actually helpful and memorable to see it laid out like that. And the humor helps.

holley79 replied:
from Description I think Eve and Roake would have a georgeous child together. I thought she was entertaining the idea also. Remember (I can't remember which book it was) when the little girl was staying with Eve and Roake? I had so hoped they would keep her.

What's really weird is when you hear my mom, sister and I talking about Eve, Roarke, She- Body and McNab you would think we were talking about people we actually knew. emlaugh.gif

mom2my2cuties replied: I really thought they were going to keep her. Eve seemed to bond so closely to her, and Roarke would do anything for Eve. And she seemed to strike a cord with Roarke as well.

I speak of them as though they are real...Because in my fantasy 2046 NYPSD world, they are.

My3LilMonkeys replied:
I loved it also!!! Nora Roberts/JD Robb is one of my favorite authors.

I just started Chicken Soup for the Diet's Soul (given to me by a coworker) and I'm rereading The Summons by John Grisham.

I'm very impatiently waiting for my turn at Born in Death - I think I'm currently 4th on the reserve list at the library...

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Chosen Prey, by John Sandford.

I have a closet full of books.....i'm such a packrat... Most I've read... but I probably have about 3 dozen that i have yet to read in there somewhere...

Brias3 replied:
I JUST finished YOU- On a Diet, Aimee. It was a really interesting read, for a diet book. Some great recipes in there too!

Other than that, I'm currently in the midst of The True and Outstanding Adventures of the Hunt Sisters by Elisabeth Robinson. It's a really cute story and a pretty mindless read too, so I can handle it while having to constantly put a book down for days at a time. I started it on the plane home and love it so far.

kit_kats_mom replied: Goodnight Nobody by Jennifer Weiner

Baby Laughs by Jenny McCarthy

A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthurs Court by Mark Twain (I'm working on reading all of his books that are on the free ebook page...only a couple left)

and I just finished the Memory Keepers Daughter.

kristy-n-chad replied:
Me, too. And Patricia Cornwell.

my2monkeyboys replied: I am almost done with Lisey's Story by Stephen King.
When I finish it, I'm not sure what I'm going to read.
I'm waiting on George R. R. Martin's latest in that great series he's been writing (can't think of the name of it to save my life right now!) to come out.

grapfruit replied: oOo~ I just finished "Running with Scissors" last night. It's really funny and BIZARRE! A good read!

I'm about to start "Money Matters" (a nice sensible book tongue.gif ) It's by my pastor Mike Slaughter, but sold everywhere. (well they can at least order it)

luvmykids replied:
