What Kind Of House Do You Live In??
Ashlynn's Mommy wrote: I live in a BASEMENT apartment, and I hate it!!! Our bedroom's are on the main floor, but our livingroom, bathroom, kitchen, and dinningroom are in the basement. We live with my S/o's parent's, because they are in their 70's and he's the only one that will take care of them. When I got pregnant we were supposed to move to PA, in a nice house, but instead he asked me if I would move in here so that he could take care of his parent's. I agreed. And now I can't stand it. They have 4 dog's who never stop barking, and are alway's waking the baby up. My S/O clean's their house upstairs connstantly, and they just mess it up again. I'm venting right now because I want to move, and everytime I bring it up my S/O, and I argue about it. Our house downstairs is nice. It's not something that would make the cover of a magazine, but it's nice. I just can't take the dog's or his parent's anymore. His mother alway's but's in were she doesn't belong especially with Cynthia (my 9 year old daughter). If I tell her one thing, she tell's her another. I 'm too chicken to say something because I don't want to hurt his mother's feeling's. When I mention it to my S/O he sais say something. I can't take it anymore. I don't want to live in a basement anymore. Thanks for the vent

We live in a house. Unfortunately we've had our fair share of living in too many different apartments and I'm glad those days are over. Well, when I have to spend 3.5 hours mowing once a week, those days make me wish I at least had a smaller yard if any at all.
Kaitlin'smom replied: we own our home, but in a year or so we will upgrage to a little bit bigger one.

Jackie012007 replied: we live in the bottom half of a historic two family house... we LOVE it and don't really want a house right now. We have 3 bedrooms, a HUGE kitchen, a formal dining room, living room, a claw foot bathtub and AWESOME landlords. They are old so we kinda hope to stay here until they croak and maybe sell (evil I KNOW!!)... they live in the middle and there is a small studio apartment on the top floor... they make $500 a month off of us and $250 a month off of the other... not bad, huh?
they're in their mid to late 70's and very quiet and they pretty much let us do whatever we want... we painted the whole place, replaced a lot of the fixtures because it is an old house (DF dabbles in electronics/electricity stuff and I love to paint)... they let us get a dog and about a month later we found out we were pregnant and they offered to lower our rent to $450! They are awesome...
I'm so sorry for your troubles with your in-laws, Ashlynn's Mommy... maybe you could say something but be respectful about it next time mom in law buts into your parenting... you shouldn't have to suffer especially since you DH is taking almost complete care of them! Vent away, I'd do the same!
Brias3 replied: We also own our home.
moped replied: We own our home.....2 story type house...pretty nice I guess
A&A'smommy replied: we are renting a house its small but its nice, needs some work but its cozy and its not even close to being permanent!
luvmykids replied: Right now I live in a rental but it's nice, I wouldn't mind buying it if the owners wanted to give it up. Owned our last house, which was the first time we bought, and am itching to own again so I can really decorate my way. But for a rental it's great and I love the area we're in.
3xsthefun replied: We own our home.
Our Lil' Family replied: We're in our first home. Built it in 2001, it's not large by any standards (about 1300 sq. ft, 3 bdrms) but I like it, just big enough for the 3 of us.
Bee_Kay replied: We own our own home. It's a 4 bedroom 1 bath (I'd like another one) with a 3/4 finished basement.

We live in a house. I am so glad we no longer live in apartments. I like our privacy too much.
Maybe there's someway you can get a house soon and then you will have your own space. I would have to ring DH's mother's neck if I had to live in the same house with her.
JP&KJMOM replied: Because of the line of work we are in (moving alot) we rent and right now we have a 2 story 4 bd 2 1/2 bath. We are saving to build on the 70 acres we own and after living where we do now I know we will NOT build a 2 story house. I despise stairs!
kristy-n-chad replied: We rent, but our apartment is pretty nice. It has 3 bedrooms and a full bath upstairs, and a LR, kitchen/dining combo and 1/2 bath downstairs. We'd love a house, and know that the good Lord will provide in time!
Boo&BugsMom replied: We own a very small two story house...2 bedrooms, 1 bath, about 950 square feet I think (just under 1000). It's great for the 3 of us and even for the daycare, but if we have another baby anytime soon we will be looking to move on to a bigger house. I would like at least 3 bedrooms, a den/computer roon or a rec room, and at least 1 1/2 baths. I HATE having only one bath. We downgraded when we bought our house. Before we rented a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath townhouse. I miss the extra space, but I LOVE owning our own home. I never want to go back to renting again.
Mommy2Isabella replied: Right now we live in an apartment, but August 1st, If all goes well, we will be moving into a SUPER CUTE HOUSE!!
Mom2Boyz replied: We own our home. A 2 bd, 1 (teeny tiny)bathroom. I can't wait til I get finished with school and have a good job so we can get a bigger house.
My2Beauties replied: We rent right now, but we close on our first home on Friday. Right now our house is just way too small that we rent, it's probably under 1000 sq ft, only 2 bedrooms. It's a shotgun house at that, have to walk through our room and hanna's room to get to the kitchen or bathroom But the house we are moving into is a bi-level, 1800 sq ft, 4 bedrooms/2 full bath, den, family room, walk out basement finished, balcony off the dining room - 1/4 of an acre (which is nice for the burbs) can you tell I'm excited to move!
mummy2girls replied: I just recently moved into a townhouse. 2bd's and 1 and half bathrooms. I love it alot better than an apartment! nobody upstairs jumpeing up and own( excpet for jenna...LOL)
