We're home! - Update and birth story!

Last night she went to bed around 11:30 and slept until 5:15 then stayed up until 7:45 and we went back to bed until 11:45 and then she got up far a brief while to nurse and by 1 she was back asleep ,and she's jsut starting to stir now at 3:00. She gets really fussy when she can't suck on her hands, and doesn't really want ot nurse. Dh wants to go buy a pacifier, but I'm not keen on the idea yet. So we'll see.
Quick birth story for you:
I was induced, pitocinwas started at 7:15, my Dr broke my water at 8:15, started to feel contractions (semi painful ) at about 10:15ish. At 2:00 i WAS 4 CM, had stadol, at 3:00 I was 5 cm, at 3:15 I told the nurses, um, she's coming, and they were like, No, You're probably just dialating a little But i could feel her head way in my bottom, so one of them went to check me and was like, "oh gosh, you're right, her head is visible. They paged my Dr and he came running (literally) over and sh ehad already started coming out, He threw a scrub shirt on, sat down adn literally 1 long push later she was out. I tore atiny bit, 1 stitch worth and was quickly all cleaned up. It happened so fast that I couldn't believe it! The contractions from 2:45- 3:15 were ABSOLUTELY AWFUL though, so I know it did happen. SHe nursed almost immediately and never left our room until late that evening to have her BP checked, they did everything else in our room. She slept really well that night, went to bed at 8 adn didn't wake until they came at 4 to do her vitals. Will post a new pic later.... she's waking up now and wants to eat...

Ugh, I know all about those killer contractions, but they are worth it ! At least it was quick for you!

New Mommy replied: That is so crazy as to how much she sleeps. You are so lucky!!!! My six week old still does not sleep for more then a couple of hours and then he sometimes likes to sleep all day and none at night (like last night-- luckily dad was up with him and I got some sleep) Send some sleeping vibes over my way please
