We're home! A day early... - Pics!

~Roo'sMama~ wrote: I wasn't enjoying the hospital stay at all and wanted to come home so bad, so we got my doctor and Allie's doctor to let us go today. So here we are! We were discharged from the hospital at about 2:30 - they wanted us to stay at least 24 hours from when she was born. I'll try to post more pics and post my birth story tomorrow, but I wanted to just hop on and let you know that we're home, and we're all doing well except for Andrew who started throwing up this afternoon right after Scott and Alison and I left the hospital. And yes you read that right... we changed the spelling of her name to Alison with one "l" ~ I started liking it that way better a couple days ago and Dh always preferred it that way, so we decided to change it yesterday while I was in labor.

I'm feeling really good other than the horrible after pains - something I didn't deal with at all after giving birth to Andrew! Scott has off work until next tuesday, so I'll be able to take it easy a little bit. I'm glad we were able to come home today instead of tomorrow - this way we have an extra day at home before he has to go back to work. We were both anxious to get back home to be with Roo too - my mom was staying with him and he was doing fine, but we missed him. I'm glad that he has us back home and isn't just here with my mom too now that he's sick again. Anyways I've got to get off the computer and go relieve Dh - here's a couple pics of Allie to hold you over.

I hope the stomach bug goes away soon. It's funny because the day I got home from the hospital after Bryan was born Lucas got a tummy bug and within hours Lucas, DH and myself were puking with diarrhea. Bryan was the only one who didn't get it. It isn't fun having diarrhea just after childbirth!!! I hope no one else gets it.

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to post my birth story yet ~ we didn't get much sleep last night and Andrew was still pretty sick today so I spent the day loafing around and trying to comfort him. Allie didn't sleep well last night and she slept all day today of course... I took a good nap today so hopefully if she pulls the same stunt tonight I'll be a little better prepared for it. Hopefully soon Andrew will be feeling better and I'll be able to get on and post more pics and tell you how the birth went. I have a feeling that I won't be able to get online much in the next few days though!

I remember after Ethan was born I'd sit down to type and have to get up to tend to him. It would be hours before I remembered that I was in the middle of typing something.
