We're back from the zoo - pics!

He even took a nap while we were there in his sling! And we went swimmimg in grandma's pool and went to the beach for a short visit. The key was that we never pushed it--when we sensed he might be at his limit we stopped and went home. So we were only at the beach for 30 min or so.

But now I know what strollers are for--to carry all your stuff while you carry the baby!

Yes, that's why we bring our stroller to the mall, it certainly isn't for Anders to ride in - rofl!!

DH wants to take Ashley to the zoo, we just have to find time to go. What was Iain's favorite thing at the zoo?

Schnoogly replied: definitely the plants. and the water...the hippo had a big water pool that had glass in front of it so you could see under the water and there were huge fish in there. It was like a gigantic aquarium. We have a small one at home--he loved it! The SD zoo has lots of natural trails around the animals, and he loved the plants and all the water. Not so big on the actual animals though. There were a lot of people there and he isn't used to crowds, so he was pretty interested in the people too. We couldn't get very close to the animals. We didn't get a chance to go to the children's zoo part since he was getting pretty worn out by then. He ignored the elephant, the camel, the wallaby, the tazmanian devil. But the waterfall by the fisher cats was cool!

They have a really nice aviary too but it was closed because there is some bird disease they don't want people to track in going around. It was my favorite part when I went there as a kid. Ashley is older, so I bet she would get more out of it than Iain. there were just tons of babies there too! All ages, from tiny ones to big kids, but lots Iain's age too. It was a stroller parade.
