Went to the Dr. today and...

Jamison'smama wrote: we have an 85 percent chance of having a BOY! Shocked me since DH is the youngest of 4 all being sisters. I truly believed that I was destined to only have girls--freaks me out a bit but of course I will love having a boy. Anyone feel strange having the opposite sex child the second time? I think that is what most people expect you to want and I guess I did but I just have all the girl stuff---clothes, toys, bedding etc now--shocker! Oh well, it is a blessing to have another baby--I am very grateful!!!

HE (?) wasn't real cooperative so we only got a rear view pic of him with a couple of little "flashes" of what looked "nubbish" so it could have been cord--she will check again next month.

Anyway, wanted to share my wonderful news!!!

Julie (jem0622) replied: Yippee! A boy! I bet DH is thrilled! On having the opposite sex...yes I'm at a loss with my feelings sometimes. I never thought I'd have another girl...and here I am having two! LOL.

Glad all is well!

A&A'smommy replied: WOW congratulations on having a boy! wub.gif wub.gif

coasterqueen replied: YAY!!! Congrats!!! How exciting smile.gif

amynicole21 replied: Woo Hoo!!! How exciting!! I know what you mean about being apprehensive about the opposite sex. All I know how to parent is a girl... I know nothing of boys. I'd love to have one, but the thought of it scares the heck out of me blink.gif

kimberley replied: wub.gif congrats on a boy! thumb.gif how awesome! i was the same way when i was pg with Jade. i didn't find out the sex, but the possibility that she could be a girl frightened me because i had only had boys! i tell you, it is soooooooooo different having a girl and i am loving every minute of it! wub.gif (and going broke from buying new stuff for her all the time rolling_smile.gif ) you will love having a boy. they are always closer to mom wub.gif

Jamison'smama replied:
That's exactly what I keep saying---"I know how to have a girl"!

Lollie replied: Yay for a baby boy!!! thumb.gif

How exciting!! Now Im just waiting to see what baby Im gonna have...hubby and I already have a little girl..and on he's side of the family there lots of boys and on my side there plenty of girls!!So we'll see!! happy.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: Woo Hoo congrats! Let us know when you know for sure

chloe&tysmommy replied: ~CONGRATULATIONS~!!!

I was the same way when I found out I was having a boy!!! I was in complete shock first of all and didn't know how I was going to manage..LOL But I LOVE my little man to pieces wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

MomToMany replied: Congratulations on your BOY!!!

When I was PG with Hannah, we didn't find out wjat we were having. So you can imagine my surprise when the Dr. said, "It's a GIRL!!". I didn't think I could produce girls after having 3 boys, LOL!! But it's truly wonderful having some of each. Boys are real special; there's that mother/son bond that's real special.

paradisemommy replied: YEAH!!! welcome to the blue side!!! wink.gif wub.gif that's so exciting!!! Too bad we can't just swap all the info we know about raising our sons/daughters to each other cause i'm like you - i'm terrified of having a girl!! but i'm sure it will all change once he's here!!! woo hoo!!!!

3_call_me_mama replied: CONGRATS!
Well boys can be tricky but a TON of fun! I'm feeling the same way about having a girl soon.. but i think it must be some what the same.... hopefully!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Oh I missed this! ohmy.gif Congratulations!! I don't know if you remember or not, but I was VERY freaked out about having a boy. We wanted another girl....needless to say Ethan is the love of my life. He is such a momma's boy and just the sweetest thing in the world. You will be pleasantly surprised at how much you love him. wub.gif And, forget the girl clothes and girly stuff....shopping for a boy is sooooo much more fun! It is for me anyway. wink.gif I guess since I am a girl, buying boy stuff is a nice change. cool.gif

Yep, I was there, too. You will be so surprised at how naturally it comes to you. They really are so much easier.

raysnroof replied: I am with Mollie on this. I had three boys and then a girl and we waited to find out the sex at birth. I had to ask the nurses about five times to repeat themselves. "It's a WHAT?" laugh.gif I was terrified about not knowing what on earth to do with a girl. I never knew the sex with my first born so had androgenous bedding in a country colors. I am a tomboy so it made the shock of having a girl even greater. You know what? You still find that everything does fall into place and you naturally adjust.
Congrats.

momof2girls replied: I was the same way, I was like a boy would be nice but I know all about girls.
Its nice to have one of each, I have 2 girls and love them soo much
Whatever the sex is you will be in love once you see him!

ediep replied: yay!!!! redbounce.gif redbounce.gif how exciting. Jamison will just love her baby brother!!!!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: CONGRATULATIONS! Boys are definately different from girls, you have to watch when you change their diapers so you don't get peed on! laugh.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: I somehow missed this too! LOL

I know what you mean. If this one is a boy, I know I'll be happy but I will be nervous too. Plus I have the same "all girl" stuff problem that you do.

DansMom replied: Keep the girl stuff around just in case... Congratulations!

Elle replied: Congrats on the boy!
After having two girls, I was sure the 3rd one would be a girl too... When I found out it was a boy, I freaked out, because I knew nothing about boys!
But don't worry, you can be sure you'll know exactly what to do with him. laugh.gif

Josie83 replied: Congratulations Brenda! I only have one but the thort of having another that was a boy would be weird . . . but I'm sure you'l do fine! let's face it the thought of having ANY baby when you first become pregnant is scary enough, at least now you'll know what you're doing! Do you have any names in mind or ru keeping them under your hat? xx

Jamison'smama replied: Well since my post we have it confirmed it is a boy so yep he has a name--he will be named after his grandfather (and my DH but he doesn't like to think of it that way).

His name will be Jonathan Howard but we will call him Jack! He will be a III so we have to distinguish him somehow.

aspenblue1 replied: Congrats !!

mama3x replied: thumb.gif Congratulations on your "for sure" BOY!

I was thrilled with DS since I have never been "girlie" myself so with DD I am flying by the seat of my pants. EEK - but so far she's not too girlie so we shall see!

You'll do just fine no matter what biggrin.gif

Josie83 replied: Congratulations again then Brenda. I love the name Jack, its lovely! Not long to go now . . . xx

MomToMany replied: thumb.gif That's a great name, Brenda!! My brother's name is Jonathan. I've always liked that name wub.gif .

Congratulations on your BOY!!!

jdkjd replied: Congratulations!

Elle replied: Congratulations! I love Jonathan and Jack! smile.gif
