Well, we finally got a snow day
luvmykids wrote: And of course it's the worst possible day to have it I needed to run errands for the parties this weekend, if it doesn't stop snowing and melt quick I'll be sunk b/c my car can't handle more than a few inches and right now we're at seven and still coming down
The plus side is, it's the most beautiful snow I've ever seen, teensy weensy itty bitty flakes that just look like glitter is coming out of the sky
Teesa®© replied: Sorry it couldn't have snowed on a more convenient day!
Good luck on getting your errands done
Calimama replied: Sounds gorgeous. Put Bogie and Harley to work and make them pull a sled.
lisar replied: I wanna see a picture.
luvmykids replied: I'm charging my phone, I'll get one in a little bit. I still haven't gotten a new camera
luvmykids replied: Yay for mom and dad, they're getting all the stuff I needed and bringing it to me Our road will probably be fine by Saturday but I'll be out of time so hooray for dads with trucks
sparkys2boys replied: Aww that's nice of them! Are the kids playing in the snow?
luvmykids replied: Heck NO!!!!!! I just hand washed all my floors yesterday for their parties, NOBODY is getting them dirty
And, even better, a friend of mine just called and said she'd have her son bring me their Expedition (which used to be mine LOL) b/c it's actually the mud after the snow melts that gives me trouble, it's clay and super slippery for about a week after it snows They have other 4wd's so she said I can keep it as long as I need to
Calimama replied: You have the best parents!!!
sparkys2boys replied: OMG you deprived them of playing in the snoe on a snow day All for clean floors
How are the party plans going btw?? I am about insane here waiting for Sun to get here and get Cam's over with..lol. If I hear how many more sleeps til party time I may freak
luvmykids replied: I am pretty ready, tomorrow is cake baking/decorating and food prep day. Other than that it's all done, except that we won't be able to do the stick horse rodeo since it will be too muddy outside. I need to think of plan B. DH said "Let them ride Macie's rocking horse down the stairs"
Maddie&EthansMom replied: We had an early release day today and I just know that school will be called off tomorrow. We are supposed to get more snow tonight, temps are below freezing and things are already pretty slippery out there.
We got huge flakes. It was very pretty. I'm just glad it only happens a couple times a year here.
sparkys2boys replied: So you are having an ambulance on standby at your party..lol
Ohh how exciting!! You really do beleive in adding the surprise element
Teesa®© replied: When I was younger, my parents and I lived in a house where the back door went directly into the kitchen and opposite that was the stairs to upstairs. If you got it JUST RIGHT..... you could sit on a Super Slider at the top of the stairs and go right down, across the kitchen floor, out the door, across the porch and into the snow!!!
IT WAS A BLAST!!!
Till my parents came home early from grocery shopping and I almost took my mom out
A&A'smommy replied: awww sorry about the day but hey at least its nice to look at Were you able to get out
luvmykids replied: We never did go anywhere, my friend had her son drop of the Expedition and both of the rear tires were flat But my parents did get all the stuff I needed so today is smooth sailing so far!
