Wednesday Weigh in - Anyone?

My3LilMonkeys wrote: I see no one has been doing this lately, but if anyone wants to join me please do!!!

I have been off my diet for a few month now, and I'm back up to 167. Not too bad - a 5 lb gain.

My current mini - goal is to be 160 by the 22nd when I leave for vacation. That gives me 17 days. It's not likely, but I'm hoping!!!

booey2 replied: Good morning Pam, kudos to you for taking charge here. You will reach your goals before you know it. I weigh in tonight at my meeting and I am not really sure what to expect, didn't have the best of weeks if you know what I mean. Oh well. On to next week.

Terri smile.gif

coasterqueen replied: I'm up above 140, which I promised myself I wouldn't, but oh well. I stopped taking some meds and my weight loss stopped and soared the other direction, despite all the working out I have been doing. I'm actually ok w/it though because my clothes fit the same. thumb.gif

I got on the scale this morning at 144.4 (so that's 4.4 pounds up from what I was a couple of months ago).

Since my clothes still fit the same I seem to have less motivation. laugh.gif rolleyes.gif My shirts are fitting tighter in the chest, so I'm wondering if my chest is expanding. It feels like it is. emlaugh.gif unsure.gif

So here's to weight loss this next week..... thumb.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: 189 - I am sooo bloated. I haven't been able to stomach much lately... and I haven't been drinking my water. I am a little sick... and I threw up this morning... so this week I'm not concerned with my goals. sleep.gif

mammag replied: I weighed in at 122 this morning. One pound less than the last time I posted about it. I'm so close to my goal that I have to keep revising to stay motivated. It's so easy to become complacent..........

So I'm happy to be a loser today!!! woohoo.gif

PrairieMom replied: I'm joinin y-all. Even tho I am nursing so I'm not activly dieting, I am wanting to loose. So, my goal is 135, my pre prego weight, and right now I am at 159.

Kaitlin'smom replied: same as last time I checked in. I wont make excuses but move foward and do better with how much I eat and when. I also plan on getting outside more, that will hlep with the munching. I have some year work to do and it looks like nice weather the next couple days so I will try and do that in the evenings as part of my work outs. They count right? I will chug some water after I finsh my coffee had to have it this moring.......... snooze.gif tired.

coasterqueen replied: Hey Di, I just thought of something. You have a pool, right? We just got a bigger one ourselves and water aerobics came to mind. Wasn't there a celebrity recently who said they got in shape that way? I'm going to have to look into it myself. happy.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
yep sure do I have been doing some when ever I am in there. It feels good. I need to try and get in more often, just need the weather to cooperate. I alos need to find some exersizes that are good in the water, other than the ones I have been doing.

I will be a BIG loser next week. Min gol of 6lbs in 3 weeks is so doable.

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Well I am down 7.2 pounds in 5 weeks with WW. Doing pretty good, but have a LONG way to go!!!

Kaitlin'smom replied: WTG to all the losers.

And to all future losers............her we come.

I would love to see how much we all lose this month.

Jackie012007 replied: water aerobics is AWESOME... I used to teach a small class at the YMCA when I was a lifeguard!!! FUN and you don't sweat!

well, since I got pregnant, my Dr. "advised" me (practically forced me) to stop my vegetarian lifestyle because apparently it's bad for the baby. I did it, and now have gained so much weight bawling.gif ... almost 30lbs!

Is it okay to diet when you are pregnant? It's hard because I have to eat meat (HATE IT) and it's making me explode, do you think if I dieted in other ways, it would be ok? I'm scared to ask my OBGYN, he like YELLED at me when he found out I was a fairly strict vegetarian!!! blush.gif

booey2 replied: Congrats to all the losers here, next week we should have a lot more losers. It is so nice to see so many people trying to make positive changes in their lifestyles. Keep up the awesome work. cheerleader.gif hug.gif for those who could use it.

My3LilMonkeys replied:
This is all JMO - I'm not an expert.

First, if you want to be a vegetarian, there is no reason why you can't be when you are PG. As long as you are eating healthy and getting all of your nutrients it doesn't matter if you are eating meat or not.

As for dieting when PG, not really. You can certainly make the effort to eat healthy and watch the junk food, salt, fat, etc. but I wouldn't suggest dieting in the traditional sense. It could be harmful for you and the baby.

Congrats to the losers cheerleader.gif As for the rest of us, we'll be losers next week!

CantWait replied:
ITA, just eat lots of dark green vegetables like brocolli and spinach that have a lot of iron in it. Eggs, beans, lentils, tofu. Do you not eat these types of things on a regular basis already? If not I can see why he would want you to incorporate some of this into your diet, although why he would automatically suggest meat I don't know. There are plenty of ways to not eat meat and still be healthy. I love meat by the way. Do you eat fish, or do you consider that meat? Salmon would be a really good choice, and there are great ways to make it.

30 lbs would not come just from eating meat, especially the right types. Stick with fishes, like the salmon, skinless chicken breast, and lean cuts of red meats such as steak. Pork is another good option. Remember that a portion is only as small as the palm of your hand, you only need to portions of meat like that a day. Also be careful with how you cook it. Try and broil or bbq instead of frying it.

A&A'smommy replied: I still weigh 159 surprisingly ohmy.gif I have been off my diet for a while too I like ice cream too much

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Besides... having gained 30 pounds ins't so bad. I gained wayyyy more than that with my kids. The LEAST amount I gained, I believe was 37 pounds. The most was about 74 pounds.

jcc64 replied: Trying to get my act together here. Crazy baseball schedules are calming down a bit, which will allow me to be home to prepare healthier meals for all. Really want to drop at least 10lbs by the end of Aug, when we go away. Don't presently own a scale, will run out and get one asap, but I'm on the straight and narrow effective immediately. Wish me luck. My weight loss tends to move at a glacial pace. bawling.gif

redchief replied:
Don't feel badly Jeanne... I don't own a scale either. When I started exercising and eating better (can't really call it a diet) I lost eight pounds in a couple weeks. That was three months ago. I've been able to lose exactly one pound since then. I don't even look anymore, instead working on tone. I WOULD like to drop another 10 or so before all of my children are finished college though. growl.gif

redchief replied: GUESS WHAT?!?!

For the first time in five years I am below 190lbs.!!!!!!!!!
Wooohoooo!!!!
redbounce.gif banana.gif partydance.gif partying.gif partying.gif partydance.gif banana.gif redbounce.gif

I really thought I was in for a normal end of month ho-hum another half a pound or less difference, but that's 6 pounds in the last 30 days. I know it's not Wednesday, but I'll be on day work EMS tomorrow and not able to access a scale. So I went early.

jcc64 replied: Good for you Ed, although you have a definite advantage being a guy. Guys seem to be able to drop weight so much easier- there's actually a physiological reason for that- AND IT'S NOT FAIR!!!
I'm on my 4th day of being VERY GOOD- few carbs, no sugar, no junk,- basically just alot of fruit and veggies with a little bit of protein. Consuming enough water to fill my swimming pool. Getting exercise. Doing all the right things- but I hate that period where you're in total deprivation mode, but you haven't been doing it long enough to notice any results. Another example of my impatient nature.

CantWait replied: redbounce.gif redbounce.gif redbounce.gif jazzband.gif jazzband.gif WTG Ed. I can't wait to be below 190 so I know where your excitement is coming from.
