I am in Pensacola and it is about 96 degrees and hopefully will rain today.

And it's about 89 here today and that feels WONDERFUL! (or at least it does in the shade!)
It's been near and over 100 for so long that the 10 degree difference is almost heavenly.
This is really not normal for us, I think we've had more days over the 100 degree mark this year then he have in my lifetime. It's been sweltering.

PrairieMom replied: Its 95 here and we are dying from heat stroke. Its been in the 70's for the past week or so, so it just feels real hot right now. It will be cooler tomorrow. We will be wearing light jackets in a few weeks, and heavy jackets in about 2 months. We always have snow before Halloween.

nope. Its just so strange how the weather changes here. We don't really get spring or fall, we just go straight from winter into summer.

It totally sucks. He can you have those super cute costumes if you have to wear a winter coat with them? Then its always super cold for trick or treating and their little fingers freeze.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Holley, do you think the days (although still muggy & hot) are becoming less hot than they have been? Our house is no longer a furnace in the evenings as it had been. It is actually fairly cool like it should be, since the outside is not blazing hot as a few weeks ago. The electric company is going to turned on its head soon, when people's electric bills drop a wee bit.

HuskerMom replied: Here in western nebraska its in the mid 90's. It's a bad time to be hot too. Dh is helping his dad add on to his house so they're out working in the heat.

I will be so glad when my power bill drops. I do the comparision from last year of use/ $$. I can defiantly tell how much the cost of power has gone up. Last year we used way more for way less then this year. This year we used way less for bigger $$. Oh I know I'll just call that other power company.

It has been a bit cooler the last couple of days but I don't think that much. Maybe it's cooler on your side of town because you aren't in a hole like we are.
