We spent the day in the ER - again

ediep wrote: It has been three weeks since Jason was in the hospital for the rotavirus, and I was really getting conderned about his allergies. He seemed to be getting worse. Yesterday, he started out ok, but by the afternoon he was becoming lethargic. He was up about 5 times throughout the night and then this morning, he was completely miserable. I took him back to the ped and she was worried that it might be developing into pneumonia, so she sent us the the ER. They did blood tests, hooked up IV, urine test (which is not as easy as it sounds for a baby boy ) and chest xray. He was crying so much. After 6 hours they told us he has a virus and sent us home telling us give him some pedialyte and cough medicine and motrin.
He ate dinner and watched barney when we got home and he is sleeping now, so we'll se how he is tonight and tomorrow, but my poor baby's eyes are swollen from crying so much today!!

I have to take him back to the ped tomorrow for a follow up
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers

MommyToAshley replied: Oh no! I read your post about the allergies, but I didn't realize it was this bad. Poor fellow.... I sure do hope he is feeling better.

Jason is slowly getting better. His cough is improving and his fever is gone. He is not completly back to himself yet, but I am hoping he will be over the next few days
