We have a new addition.... - finally :)

I had a doctor's appt on Thursday (8th) which was my due date and I asked him if I could be induced. I was worried that the baby would be too big for me to have and I didn't want a c-section. So he said he would put me on the list and we would see. So luckily I get a call the next morning at 7:30am saying I could come in right away....I was sooo happy b/c otherwise I would have had to wait until Monday.
So I was put on oxytocin (sp) at 10:15am and I started getting contractions at 10:45am. I had no pain with them but I felt my stomach hardening everytime I got one. The doctor came in and broke my water and maybe 15 min after that the nurse comes and checks me and says I'm 3cm and asks me if I want an epidural....I said "sure" but I kind of felt guilty getting one so soon b/c I wasn't even in pain....but I knew I would be later on 
The doctor came in around 3:00pm and checks and says I'm between 4-5 cm...he joking said I better have it before 7:00pm b/c that's when he's off. Then at around 3:30pm I told my nurse that I can feel the contractions pretty strong on one side and I can feel a lot of pressure down there. She said she'd check me first before giving me more freezing...so she did and said "oh my your at 10 cm and the babys head is right there...your ready to push!"
I was sooo shocked I dialated that quick. So my doctor came in and I had my baby boy at 3:55pm Friday July 9th 
We named him Tyler Neil, Neil is my dh's fathers name. We had a hard time trying to decide on the first name 
Oh and before I forget Tyler weighed 8 lbs and 6oz and was 22 in. long (no wonder I had a foot kicking my rib constantly..lol) I honestly don't know how he fit in there...LOL and I'm pretty sure he'll have dark reddish/blond hair
I would love to show him off but if you remember me telling you guys my dh doesn't believe in putting pics on the net (plus I have no way of doing it )....

I love the name you picked. Ryan and I chose Tyler Christian the first time we were pg before we knew we were having a girl and said when we get pg again if we have a boy we'll name him Tyler. So I'm very fond of that name.
