We got a new pet
A&A'smommy wrote: We got a dog yesterday she is WONDERFUL!! Shes is a golden retriever and with a mix of lab I think I can't really remember, and she is 8months old. She isn't trained she has spent most of her life outside but she is actually doing really well now that I have turned her into my house pet lol the only thing is she is kinda big. She LOVES Alyssa she became instantly attached to her and VERY VERY protective she follows her around she doesn't let her get too close to the door unless we are close she barked at her yesterday. She is ALWAYS right over alyssas shoulder and it kinda gets on her nerves but Alyssa loves her anyway. Oh our next door neighbor named her muffin he is like 7 and SOOO cute and I couldn't resist. I'm kinda sad we may have to give her away because Alyssa and Jeremiah have bad allergies so if they do okay we can keep her but they get sick I'm going to have give he away I'm already attached to her...

Mommy2BAK replied: Aww she is so cute! I think that is so adorable how she is trying to protect Alyssa. Hopefully Jeremiah and Alyssa's allergies won't be affected by the dog. My mom has always been alergic to cats, but someway, somehow once we got a cat (indoor cat) it didn't bother her one bit. Very Odd!!! So maybe the same will happen for yall!!!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: She's so pretty! She looks like my old dog Ginger looked like when she was young. I hope you can keep her! I have mild allergys from my cats and dogs but I can't bring myself to get rid of them.
gr33n3y3z replied: Just an idea Keep the kids Bedroom doors shut so the dog cant get in there that will help a lot and give the dog a bath every 2 weeks and brush her outside everyday and clean the floors everyday and that will help. Thats what we had to do bc my son Rick was allergic to dogs we found out after Rick was born.
Alice replied: What a beauty!!!!
A&A'smommy replied: Thanks for that advice, and for the comments I have been keeping things clean I am going to vacumn today and keep spraying my lysol and febreeze (the one for allergies) so far its helping. Muffin has really made herself at home she is laying on the couch (the ugly one that we don't sit on) right now she can't stay outside today because its rainy out today. The dog is nuts though don't you can't sit on the floor or she will lick you to death I love having a dog again!
3xsthefun replied: She is a very pretty dog!! Congrats!!

My2Beauties replied: Awww I love animals...she is such a pretty dog!!!! I hope you guys get to keep her!
aspenblue1 replied: bath her in allerpet it will help with the dander also they have pads you can wipe on her inbetween baths. The allerpet works great for people with allergies to dogs.

A&A'smommy replied: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! DH suggested this but I had no idea what to get that helps a lot I will know what to look for now!
DVFlyer replied: Great looking dog. We are just in the early stages of getting a dog. My wife and I have differing views of where the dog should spend most of it's time. I'd rather him be inside and she'd rather him be outside. I just keep leaving puppy photos around the house to break her defenses down.
