It's been an unusually tight Christmas for us too, but it's been a good reminder that it's only a small part of the holiday and luckily we have many more Christmases ahead that are sure to be better hug.gif

my2monkeyboys replied: I think everyone is tighter this year... I think it has to do with the costs of everything going up, but our paychecks haven't caught up yet.
You did a great job, though!!! I wish I had found such awesome deals!

mckayleesmom replied: Ours is because the Army owes dh almost 4 months of back recruiter pay and we haven't recieved our relocation allowance yet...so we have so far paid for our move out of pocket.

I am still extremely proud of myself... laugh.gif

holley79 replied: Girl you did good. thumb.gif

Crystalina replied: Dang, I'm impressed!

Ours was tight also this year so join the club. I can't even get into the Christmas mood and it's only 3 days away! rolleyes.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied: Great job, Im impressed too
Money has been tight here also, sound like we are all in the same boat
But its not about the money spent or how many gifts everyone recieves, its about making memories and being with family...that's what I have to keep telling myself because I dont feel like I did enough for some people.

DillsMommy replied: wow--that's awesome. thumb.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Wow -- you got some great bargains -- great shopping!

I found some pretty good deals myself this year, especially for our extended family gifts.

I wrapped the stuff last night, and Ashley didn't get as much this year. We usually get her one big "WOW" gift, but not this year.

Jackie012007 replied: wow, you did a great job - I'm sure everyone will love their gifts!!! rolling_smile.gif

it's been tight here too, especially since I quit my job right before Christmas. But you are absolutely right, it almost makes the season better because we realize why we celebrate!! wub.gif

CantWait replied: You got some great deals.

I put nearly everything on credit card this Christmas, it's going to be tough to pay it after so I know where you're coming from.

I think I'm finally realizing the truth behind Christmas though. hug.gif

A&A'smommy replied: WOW where did you shop at? ohmy.gif

MoonMama replied: Wow you did great! thumb.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
There are these stores in some cities in Alabama called HUDSONS DIRT CHEEP.....they are basically items that people return and they can't put them on the shelves again.....You have to dig deep, but you can find great stuff there...That is where I got the fort kit and Playmobile ship. You live in Alabama right Jess?..You might want to look them up.

Mommy2Isabella replied: thumb.gif You did awesome!!!

BAC'sMom replied: Those are some great deals thumb.gif
