We are incredibly romantic people
Danalana wrote: Richard left me a card and a valentines bear this morning, and I got him candy and a card. When he got off work, we went to get a few things, and then came back to clean MORE on the house He is currently cleaning the bathroom and I have finally finished for the night--I think. He ate frozen pizza and I am going to eat cereal. We're just in a frenzy...I told him I want everything done by Saturday, so I can just rest after church on Sunday. I suspect I won't get a wink of lseep on Sunday night, so I am going to try to take a good nap Sunday afternoon. We'll see how that goes. Ahhhhhhhh, I'm so stressed! I have a cold sore...it's like the 5th one I have had since being pregnant. I gotten at least one a year since I was a kid, but it's never been like this. I called my OB's office and, when they called back, I missed it. I'm supposed to call them back tomorrow. She asked which pharmacy I use, just in case. I read that you aren't supposed to kiss your baby if you have an active outbreak, and I HAVE to give him kisses. My cold sores never last long, and I am treating it with Carmex and campho-phenique. I know it's stress that brought it on...maybe that's why I have had so many of them
Anyway, are you feelin' the romance wafting from over here?
mckayleesmom replied: Get some Zinactin....I think that is what it is called....Works for me...
Danalana replied: Zinactin...that must be what a lady at church wass telling me about...she said it started with a Z.
mom2my2cuties replied: I had lots of cold sores too when I was pregnant with Lizzy. They are a pain in the tooshie!
I hope it clears up quickly.
Anthony275 replied: romance? what's that?
grandma replied: Whenever you have a cold sore don't kiss anyone, especially your baby, you can easily pass the virus to them...it happens all the time.
A&A'smommy replied: OH NO I HATE cold sores!!! I would call them first thing in the morning and see (btw they ALWAYS ask what pharmacy you use no matter what reason you call for )but anyway I hope you get everything done!!! Try not to stress too much!!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh sweetie, I know what you're going through. I was induced with both boys and the waiting is a killer. I did the all over cleaning too, more so on my first than my second though. LOL Anyhow, just try to relax...I know easier said than done, but everything will be fine clean house or not. Nursery doesn't really matter either really, just have the essentials. Baby does not need much, only love, which I know you have a lot to give. Try to enjoy the alone time with your hubby. Sleep in if you can. Just SLEEP!!
If you want to talk romance...DH and I went to dinner with the kids tonight. At a semi-fast food type place...haha! He brought me a bottle of wine and some chocolate but it was on the way home from work, no card. Anyhow, I'm not complaining, because like I said in my post...He has made me so happy getting us back to CA, so no presents needed for me! Did I also mention he went to go play hockey on V-day evening?
Danalana replied: Heck, I'm just glad he REMEMBERED it was valentine's Day!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: It is Zilactin and it does work really well but burns like a mammajamma! It will heal up! Don't stress Dana! I promise you that labor is honestly not scary! You will know what you are supposed to do Don't listen to anyone tell you their crappy stories Just take a few minutes to relax and enjoy Richard and your time before Kade gets here...the rest will all fall into place-I promise!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Ah...good ole herpes.
i use Abreva on emilie when she gets them..the odd time that I've gotten one, I use it too, clears it up in a few days
sparkys2boys replied: Dana don't stress so much girl! It will all fall into place for you guys!! Get some rest and stop worring!!
lisar replied: I hope it heals quick so you can kiss your baby
Danalana replied: I wish Monday would hurry and get here because I'm gonna drive myself crazy. I'm trying not to do much except relax today, but I am already making plans. I need to go through our bedroom closet and donate all the clothes we don't wear. Next, I need to wash all the clothes in the house. DH got the bathroom spotless, but I still need to sweep and mop in there My father was supposed to have come and gotten the big dresser that's in our nursery...he said he wanted it. Well, I worked my butt off, yesterday, getting it ready to go and a path cleared for them to be able to get it out easily. Then he called me (drunk!) saying he would call me "in the morning" (today). Apparently, he and his friend had gone across the line to Mississippi (we are a dry county and they aren't ) and had stopped off to watch a race. Well, we have a friend coming to paint the nursery this morning too. SO much going on. And my father was supposed to call at 8...it's almost 8:30, and no word from him.
*sigh*
sparkys2boys replied: Dana... stop.. breath... breath .. breath. It will all be ok. Ya know once you have that beautiful baby boy in your arms it won't matter if the closet got sorted out, if the whole house is spotless, and other things never got finished. All that will be of importance is that you all are safe, happy and a family Stop worring your self sick.
grandma replied: Dana sweetie, slow down! You don't have to wash 'all the clothes in the house' lol Sorry your dad isn't doing what he planned, but you know how drinking men are. He just picked a really bad time to be irresponsible. Just think your baby is gonna be in in afew days. Everything will be fine!
tammyhopkins replied: Only you and daddy will know what is not done. Baby won't care.
Good luck though, don't do to much you need your rest.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Oh how I remember the waiting.
grapfruit replied: Zycam? I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! One disclaimer though, I have 2 friends that get nose bleeds easily and this really makes them gush. I've never had a nose bleed, so it's no problem for me.
Danalana replied: I think Zycam is that stuff you squirt up your nose...if so, it's not that. My OB's office called and my doc called in an Rx for Valtrex. You know that commercial where these really good-looking people talk about having genital herpes? Welp, that's the medication they take to prevent breakouts. It's for herpes simplex, which can be on the lips or in the nether regions. It's a pill and they said to take 2 a day for 7 days. But what if it's going away now? Would you take it if it was getting better already? Mine never last very long or get very bad, but I was scared because of things I have read. My nurse didn't seem to be worried about it all, as far as baby is concerned. I did read that it's more of a concern if you contract herpes DURING pregnancy, which I didn't. Anyway, that's that.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I'd stil ltake it.
grandma replied: I was gonna mention Valtrix, that's what my doctor recommends and it works by far the best. If you take it when your lip feels tingly, it really makes the episode last shorter. I'd still take it even if it is getting better.
Danalana replied: Ok, thanks!
lisar replied: I agree. Slow down and breath. And none of it will matter come Monday.
Danalana replied: Yeah, that's what I keep hearing...I SO wish it was Monday so I could stop thinking about it
moped replied: More romantic than my night!
Danalana replied: Were you digging ditches?
paradisemommy replied: get the zilactin..it's the total bomb!!!
