We are going back

3xsthefun wrote: Well looks like we are going back to our old home. The place that caught on fire back in December. We have been working to get back into it by the end of August. We was really wanting to build a house or buy something but it is just not going work out that way right now. Rob has done alot and hopefully soon we can start putting new stuff back in it. We have went through alot of old stuff it sure is hard decide what to keep and what not. Not everything we had burnt just mainly stuff in living room and kitchen. The rest of the rooms had smoke damage.

Rob has already ripped carpet out and the ceilings in living room and kitchen. Now all we need do is clean bedroom walls and bathroom walls. We will buy some stuff goes one the walls not sure of the name, and then paint over that stuff. We are also going put new sheet rock up in the living room and hall way, and put new floors down. No more carpet for us! I do not want it back in there I hate the stuff. We will also put new ceilings back up in the kitchen and living room.

There is still alot to do but hope get most done before Kaitlynn starts kindergarten in September. Even if we don't get everything painted inside least we can move in and finish up as we go. I least want get ours bedrooms painted before we move back in and kitchen.

We just have to many medical bills and other bills take care of right now. Our insurance we had did not even pay any of help I had when I talked to my therapist. I'm giving up talking to her, just can't afford it right now. I had a pap smear back in March the insurance didn't even pay for. I didn't even know our insurance would not pay any of it. mad.gif So we have dropped it, it will give us a extra $400 a month. I'm going try get the kids on CHIPS it is a free insurance here. I also have medical insurance on my car if i should wreck it and get hurt. I hate not having medical insurance. But we just can't afford it when it does not pay for help we need. So I will just go back family planning also when I need get my next physical.

I know one thing I can not wait get out of this house. It seems like his parents have been on us about moving. I can tell them one thing I've been wanting out of this house, more then they want us out.

Sorry this was so long. blush.gif

mckayleesmom replied: I knew your house caught fire...but how did the fire get started...didn't see the origional post...Good Luck to you...Don't worry...it will all come together eventually.

3xsthefun replied: Our tv in our living room is what caused the fire. We have a friend that is going do our electrical work this evening. I'm so glad he is a electrican so we don't have go out and hire one. happy.gif

mammag replied: I'm sorry things have been so rough. Did you not have property insurance? If so, why aren't they paying to have the work done? That sounds like a lot of work!!

Well, I hope things start improving. It will all feel better once you are back at your own place even if it's not painted all the way.

(((Hugs)))

3xsthefun replied: We did not have any insurance on our home. So we have to do all the work ourselves. It is going be alot of work but we believe it is worth it better then trying rent somewhere or staying here at his parents house. They do not live in this house but still I do not want be here another winter.

Kaitlin'smom replied: sorry your having to do all that, I guess being in insurance I am wondering if you had a mortgage on it, they usually require you to carry it. Anyway what ever the caes is I hope you can make some great progress on it and get back in asap

oh and medical insurance, I cant believe they did not cover some of those things, its a weird thing

lisar replied: I would definalty have the electrical checked before you move back in. I am the office manger of a major electrical comany here is florida so i have seen things like that before. Good luck with it all and I hope it all works out for you soon.

3xsthefun replied: Actually the place was payed off and when we payed it off we lost our insurance. Because we had insurance through company we was making house payment through.

Rob kept meaning get insurance back on it. But other things was going on that made him keep forgetting get it done.

Kaitlin'smom replied:
oy, well once you get things back together with it call around and see what you can quaifly for.

good luck with it all

ediep replied: oh man! Good luck, that seems like so much work!

3xsthefun replied: We plan on getting home owners insurance back on the place after we move in or maybe before. Rob had the power turned back on Monday and we now have running water. So we can start doing some scrubing. I thought Rob's friend was going come up and look at the electric today but guess not. I'm not really sure when he will make it, I hope soon.

Oh, I found some pictures of Kaitlynn when she was a baby. I plan on posting some soon as I get them scanned on the computer. happy.gif Just so you all can see what she looked like. Maegan looked a little like her as a baby but not a whole lot.

A&A'smommy replied: UGH I know what you mean about being tired of living in your inlaws house and wanting out!!! I hope you get everything done soon.... Sorry about your insurance I know how that goes.... ((((HUGS)))) everything will get worked out!!

3xsthefun replied: Thanks Jess, I believe everything will work out to. Even though sometimes it is really hard to believe.

A&A'smommy replied:
I know but hard times are always going to come in life... Glad ya'll are getting things together I can't amagine how difficult all of that must have been on you guys!!

JAYMESMOM replied: I would definetley look into getting homeowners insurance now. That way if something happens to the house before you move in you aren't stuck all over again.

It may seem like a lot of money but in the long run if you need it it is worth every penny.

mom21kid2dogs replied:
I just got some really great insurance (for self insurance) for $157 a month that covers O and I. It's $500 deductible with 60/40 prescription coverage and 70/30 hospitalization. It doesn't cover mental health services but does cover preventative services. It's actually a Medical Mutual SuperMed policy. We got it through our life insurance agent. The company is called Fortis. Feel free to PM me if it's a policy you might be interested in. Like you, I had a high deductible, no coverage policy for the same $$ as this one. Don't get me started on what a racket health insurance is!! mad.gif

Hope all works out with your house. Maybe if you can get all the remnents of the fire damage out it will feel like a "new" house! wink.gif

3xsthefun replied: Go ahead and PM the info. I'll tell hubby about it and see what he says.smile.gif

I just can't wait to get out of here! LOL! It will be nice to be in our own place again!

mom21kid2dogs replied: I found a website that outlines their services/coverage plans

HTH some!
