Water day 3 - hope I dont float away....

Guess what though? Hehehehe I weighed a pound less this morning than I did Tuesday!!! And I haven't gone down that far in WEEKS!!! WATER HERE I COME
booey2 replied: Well I start my day with a 16 oz glass that I leave right beside the tap while a make my lunch, then once having by all bran breakfast I down another one of these before I head out the door. Remember thou I have been doing this for over 18 months now so my body has adjusted to the extra fluid and I don't run to the can as much. But if I miss a day or two of high water intake my body really notices and I am running to the bathroom just like the rest of you.

BTW, had me rofl about "going to the can". I'm a bit goofy this morning. I am starting to feel less bloated than I was just a few days ago, so hopefully my body will get used to this soon!
Kaitlin'smom replied: so once I am used to this I will spend less time in the bathroom! what a relief, then maybe I cna get more it. I am getting about 56oz a day any more than that and I am waking more than normal so i can go So once I am more used to the 56oz I will increase to 64 or more.
But here is a good thing I finally dusted of my walker and got on for 20 minutes last night! I want to do that every other night and slowly increase the time I am on, now I just have to dig out my abs of steel video and do that the nights I am not on the walker.....

Julie (jem0622) replied: Sorry I didn't post the other days gals. I have managed to at least finish my 64 oz mug. But I started Tae Bo (Mon & Tues night) and felt dehydrated b/c I didn't drink enough after working out. I did the tape before bed.
Wednesday night I took a break from working out. Last night I tried Pilates for Dummies. LOVED it. So I plan to do Tae Bo and then the next night I'll do Pilates. Nathan (4) loved doing the pilates with me!
Keep it up gals! I am thinking I need to have one full 64 oz mug and then add another 32 oz to that. I think my body really needs it. Especially as I add exercise into my days.

You need to drink at least 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water daily.
But remember that beverages other than water do add to your daily water tally. If you are just starting out then try 64 oz at a minimum. Then increase as needed or to get you to that body weight in ounces requirement.

Pilates for Dummies works your glutes, abs, hamstrings, thighs (inner and outer), and arms. All you need is a mat. I didn't use one though. Because they say the mat is for if you are doing the work on a hard surface. I was on the carpet. No shoes. And comfortable clothes. This is a breath of fresh air b/c there are days when I feel (like Wednesday) where I don't have the endurance to do the Tae Bo. But the Pilates gives you a workout in a different way. And they tell you the right and wrong way to do each movement, and how to increase the intensity of each move when you are ready.

booey2 replied: Well your average body person needs 6-8 glasses of fluid including water to just keep your body hydrated. If you do anythiing other then sitting in a chair all day you will need more water. It say I need 12 glasses or 96 ounces per day, usually I get 80 or more but my daily goal is 10 glasses if I get more it is a bonus.

megsmommie replied: Grrr.....only had one 8 oz glass so far. Just not feeling it today! Maybe cuz I have to be at work in a fe wminutes. I work 8 hours today, and I haven't done that in a month and a half now!!!! I am not looking forward to it at all. I will miss staying home. Boohoohohooo. Yesterday I got more watre in then needed. Lol, but then again it was 82 degrees here yesterday, so who couldn't help but drink!! Good luck today ladies. Drink away. Chug chug chug....

booey2 replied: Just finished my 80oz (10 glasses) gonna head to the water cooler for some more as I still have 2 1/4 hours to go, gotta have a little something to drink while I sit here and do not much else, real slow right now due to Spring break starting today.

coasterqueen replied: Well, I forgot to count my 8 oz of tea at lunch. That should count its all water, lol. And I just finished my second 16 oz cup of h2O so I have drank 40 ounces so far today. Not too bad. I'm going to filler up now :-) maybe I can get at least 8 ounces before I go, if not more.
