sparkys2boys replied: Gawd.. what next huh..??? It's not safe and go buy groceries any more..I think it is very scary, what if it didn't get caught.. how many ppl would have gotten sick.
PrairieMom replied: It said they were for sale between oct 31 and nov 6th, so really that would be 3 week old fruit. eew. Hopefully no one would have any left by now. Why didn't they catch this in time for it to actually go some good?
And really, is there ANYTHING safe to eat? I will have to stick to hershey bars I guess.
gr33n3y3z replied: well the shipping takes up some of that time plus it sits in the back of the store to ripen up so thats about right bc they ship those not ripe If they did they would be rotten before you could eat them
CantWait replied: Cantalope can also stay fresh in the fridge sometimes for 2 weeks before going bad.
I wash mine before we cut into it though.
sparkys2boys replied: Mmmmmm Hershey bars.. now there the safe way to go..lol
mom2my2cuties replied: Actually I believe it was last week they said that Hershey bars had been infected with Salmonella (forgive the spelling)
sparkys2boys replied: ekkkk.. are you kidding?? I must have missed that post. GAWD... is there nothing safe anymore..lol.. now they attack the chocolate!!!
CantWait replied:
mom2my2cuties replied: Yeah it was the Hershey's chocolate in Canada - But not halloween candy -
PrairieMom replied: Okay. Thats sick and unfair. I guess I'm done eating now. We are having Salmon and steamed broccoli for dinner. No chance for Salmonella there.
Our Lil' Family replied: ummm, sounds good!
