I was looking for a good web cam, but they aren't that great....
This is as bad as winter will ever get here
A&A'smommy replied: BLECH!!!!! At least I can take the kids outside here
moped replied: No way the kids will go out anywhere in this!
My car has been parked for 3 hours and I wonder if it will start!
Danalana replied: Mmmmmmm....I love cold weather! Of course, I have never experienced weather that cold...BRRRR!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Just wondering what everyone wears in weather like this....how many layers? What type of shoes/coats?
Obviously I've never been anywhere that cold. I think my heart would stop.
Today I'm wearing a tank top and staring out the window to the sun shining.
booey2 replied: Wow, that is cold. I wouldn't trade you this horrible snow storm we are having for those frigid temperatures. At one point today I couldn't see the parking lot at work, the snow was falling sideways and up. LOL
luvmykids replied: SHEESH, that's not even cold, I don't know what you call that!
CantWait replied: That link says -18 right now. I know that's not the coldest it gets in Alberta. Either way it sucks big time, it's only -4 here today.
HuskerMom replied: That's about the temp we had here the other morning when I had to go outside with Dh to get his suburban started. It was freakishly cold! It never got above -7 that day. We've gotten a heat wave since then, today it's 3 outside.
Cece00 replied: It was almost 80 here today...
OTOH, a week or so ago we had a FREAK day of snow. We never get snow, maybe once every 7-10 yrs. It was very surprising.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Jeans, regular socks, boots... a regular shirt, like a tshirt or a bluse, a jacket.. (mine's polar fleece), if it dips below -15C I'll wear a sweater instead of a lighter shirt.. and I'll put on a pair of gloves, a hat, a scarf.. it's cold, but it's not *that* bad. Heck sometimes when it's just 0C out, i'll walk my dog in just a sweater..
people adjust really well. In the summer time, 13C is a cold night... and because we're used to the warm weather, we'll wear a sweater.. but the same temerature in the wintertime we can wear a tshirt outside.
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: 0 Celsius is no big deal but that was -17 Fahrenheit....that is freaking cold. I could comfortably (when living in CO i have become a lightweight to temps again since moving back to CA) handle 5 degrees in jeans, boots, longlseeve shirt under a jacket and hat/scarf/glove combo.
coldest I was ever outside for was -12 and that was just run to the car and run inside. I had on jeans boots, sweatshirt and jacket scarf and balaclava, and gloves. that was painful to breathe and I didn;t particularly ever want to experience cold like that again.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Oh, I know. The average cold winter day here is about -30 C. (-22F)
It is kinda hard to breath outside when it's that cold... but normally we're not outside all that long. We breathe through our scaves.
youngmomofone replied: How can yall stand it?!?! It was in the 70s here yesterday, but today it is 43 (feels like 35) and that's too cold for my liking.
lisar replied: it was in the 80's here today. It was nice. And that is way to cold for me.
moped replied: So true, we just become used to it!
I just loaded the truck with a tank top and carpis and my UGG boots - LOL.....Ok I was a bit cold!
TheOaf66 replied: right there with ya
Yesterday at wake up -9 with-27 wind chill
Today at wake up -3 with -15 wind chill
Thanks Canada
(our weathermen always say "an arctic blast coming from Canada")
Me no likey the cold so much
MommyToAshley replied: We're getting that cold now. It was -1 yesterday, but with the windchill they said it was -22 (Fahrenheit) . Brrrr. I had no idea it was supposed to be that cold. Ashley and I were out shopping and had to come back home because it was way too cold to be out there.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Everything in the closet!
Pants and sweaters mostly. I have a Columbia jacket that keeps me toasty, with a hat, scarf, and gloves when I go outside. I also wear my boots out a lot instead of my regular shoes because they're a lot warmer. The kids wear the same type of stuff.
tanyawilliams replied: oh boy, thats cold. i dont know what it was in toronto last ngiht, but it was freezing. must ahve been close to minus 15.
