Boo&BugsMom replied: School started there??? We usually never start until after Labor Day. Tanner still has about 4 weeks left of vacation yet. I am not looking forward to it, but on another hand I am. I have to admit, I love having the house to myself with just Aiden. But, I do miss Tanner a lot during the school year since I work at night, so I don't get to see him very often until the weekend comes.

DillsMommy replied: I know how you feel, Dylan started last Thursday. Someone once told me that once they start school--they grow up SO fast. So far that has been very true. The summer flew by. Not only did he just turn 6, but he's in the FIRST grade.

We'll support each other. For some reason, this seems like a hard milestone. 1st grade sounds so OLD.

She was a bit nervous and excited all at the same time. I can't wait to hear how her day went.... 35 more minutes and she will be home. My day went pretty fast as I had a lot of work to do this morning, and then I had a meeting downtown, and then DH and I took a late lunch. Keeping busy has helped, but it is still odd not having her here. I do miss her.

What's Kaitlin think about starting Kinder? Is she excited? And, she'll be turning 6 in just a few short months too... so I know you know how I feel.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: We have 16 days till school starts Summer went by too fast! Alex will only be gone for 3.5 hours, but still a hard transition for me!!
I was just telling a friend that I think I will stand in the middle of my quiet house for the whole 3.5 hrs and not know what to do with myself!!

TANNER'S MOM replied: Believe me I know exactly what you mean. It was always hard for me. I always felt like it was another year closer to independence! I hated it and still tear up! If you don't think I know what you mean then try sending one away to college cause it really sux! I will cry on your shoulder and you can cry on mine! Cause it's hard to watch those babies grow. You are so proud when they flutter those butterfly wings but it's so scary too!

mckayleesmom replied: Mckaylee starts on the 25th. She goes half days until September 8th and then it is all day from there. I am really excited because she is soo ready to go and have a little independence from me. It's fun to see her so excited. Plus we don't live on a street with any kids and she needs some friends.

lovemy2 replied: I am more of a wreck about sending her on that bus for a WHOLE day than I was sending her to Kindy I figured even if she has a bad day its only 3 hours - but now its more like 6 hours - that a long day to have a bad day

mom21kid2dogs replied: Olivia starts next Wednesday! She's so thrilled but I think it's crazy! They have a 2 week Christmas break~ugh!! That ought to be fun~NOT!

It all goes WAY TOO FAST around here, too! O will be 8 in less than two months.
