Waaaah! I hate my neighbours!!! - pity party for me...

I am sorry that you went through all that trouble to buy the stuff and bake and no one was there.... but maybe the really did think it was tomorrow and not today.

Perhaps a phone call to a couple of the invitees to see if you had perhaps "told them the wrong day"? (Not that I am sure you did, but it will sure get them to thinking twice about not calling to tell you they cannot make it!)

Well, if I was close by, I'd be there in to have tea.... I love have tea/coffee in the afternoon.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Some confirmed, some didn't... but noone showed up on Sunday either. Oh well - I'm going to be the bigger person and pretend it doesn't bother me, so then THEY will feel bad. Ha.

victoire2002 replied: Probably what happened is that working folks (who tend to run errands on weekends) forgot about their commitment and didn't show. Don't take it personally! Or try not to, anyway.

I know by experience that most of them probably figured that another neighbor (s) were going to be there, so they wouldn't be missed.....

That stinks, anyway. Hope your Monday is great, though!
