WTH is wrong with people? - Seriously!!!!!
luvmykids wrote: I get a call on my cell, this lady starts telling me she bought a phone from her neighbor for $70 and is trying to activate it but Verizon told her my name is on the account. I said, yes, it's a silver motorola flip phone, she says yes, she really needs it so could I please call Verizon right away and have it removed from my account. I said no, thats my phone. She said no, I already paid the $70 for it so call them so I can use it. I said no, I paid $200 for that phone and I'm not going to do that. She said too bad you lost it but now it's mine, I said yeah, too bad I lost it but now that you've got it, you should get your money back from your punk neighbor and send me my phone. It was reported stolen anyway so it's no good to you. She said I should give her the $70 and then she'd give me the phone back. I said No! She said "Well I can very easily go to Cricket and have them activate it for $50 so *%&^ you!"
I cannot believe the nerve of some people!!!
PrairieMom replied: did you get her name? Isn't it a crime to have stolen property? report her and maybe she will turn in her neighbor! I can't believe the nerve of some people!
C&K*s Mommie replied: Talk about people having NERVE!!
UGH!
CantWait replied: Doesn't she just have the nerve. What a little (be nice Marie)
luvmykids replied: Didn't get her name but called Verizon again and they said that phone shows up as lost/stolen not only in their system but all of them so she cannot in fact have Cricket activate it and the phone *should* be confiscated when she tries to do it.
jaytrevjax replied: Hey, I have a BIL that actually works for Vorizon. If you want, I could ask him what you need to do about this problem! People are so dishonest these days! It really makes you wonder how thier parents raised them! If I found out I had just bought a stolen phone from someone, you KNOW I would be turning them in!
ashtonsmama replied: WTF?!?
What was wrong with that lady? JEEZ. Sounds like a head case. I'm sorry Monica...
luvmykids replied: I could not believe that part, she had the nerve to say "Did he steal it or did you lose it?" I said "It was lost until someone found it, now that you know it belongs to me IT IS STOLEN!!!"
If you wouldn't mind, could you just verify that she won't be able to use it with any other cell carrier either? The girl I talked to said it's a database they all use but I'm curious if thats true or not. Thank you so much!
BAC'sMom replied: WTF? I can't believe she had the b***s to call you. Poor Monica
mammag replied: That is unbelievable.....some nerve is right!
redchief replied: Receiving stolen property is illegal. She also has a legal obligation to turn in the phone to authorities or risk being charged with the theft herself.
J-rod replied: no she cant use it anywhere..its in the wireless database. she had some nerve....could you tell where she called from. caller i.d or anything...im sure you didnt think to hit *69.
gr33n3y3z replied: I was thinking the samething
Did you know her? How about the kid that stole it? Seems like you have a case right now She called you If you dont know the number do a police report and the cops can get the number who called you and trace it to the caller We already had to do that.
luvbug00 replied: I would be livid! I hope she can't get it activiated and she wasted 70 bucks.
TheOaf66 replied: I really don't know what I would have done in the situation but I probably would call Verizon and tell them someone else is gonna try to activate it, some people are something else
MommyToAshley replied:
I agree... I would call the police.
Halo42101 replied: Wow! What nerve! I am so sorry you had to go through that Monica.
