Voting..

Calimama wrote: I'm curious how many people vote. If you don't (and don't mind answering) why not?

luvmykids replied: DH had never voted until the last election....if you ask him why, he'll say "I don't know", but I think the real reason is he lives in his own little world and didn't realize how much things affected him and why that made it even more important to vote. Now he's hooked thumb.gif

coasterqueen replied: Yes.

luvbug00 replied: well to be short i voted somtimes,
our hs teacher told us it doesn't matter if you vote or not. it's a ploy to make people feel like they have a say in the country.

my dad a gov. worker says the opposite. it just kinda wither or not i feel the person represented is worth my trip to the nearest poll. so far this election i don't want to vote at all. I am not inspired or feel like i connect with anyone and TBH as long as bush is out i really don't have much of an opinion. ( yes i am a bush hater. I know some of you like him and i respect that. but my opinion is to dislike him.)

PrairieMom replied: I voted other, because I misread the question and thought you were asking about yesterdays primaries. blush.gif
so, my official vote is Yes. I do.
even tho its pointless. Do you guys see a recurring theme with me? rolling_smile.gif

PrairieMom replied:
Nice. dry.gif It may be true, but Seems kind of a synical thing to be teaching our young impressionable minds... Let them come to the conclusion them selves like I did. laugh.gif

HuskerMom replied: Yes I vote.

Calimama replied: Wow we haven't gotten one no vote! ohmy.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yes, but I'm sortof like Monica's DH, I haven't been doing it for very long and I'm 33. I think this year will be my third time voting in the pres election. I just never was up on politics back in my early 20's, so I didn't vote. Never thought I knew enough, but now I'm trying hard to stay on top of it and will definitely vote. And will teach my kids to do it as well...every vote counts!

choochoo replied: Since I've come to the realization that social security will run out right before I'm able to collect anything, I've become more interested in the politics of this country. So I vote...early and often. haha.

My3LilMonkeys replied:
I'll be your first (and only, at the moment) no. I've never voted and probably never will. I just don't have the time or energy to keep up with politics and everyone's stance on all the issues, so I don't feel I'm qualified.

stella6979 replied:
Same here. sleep.gif

3xsthefun replied: Yes, I vote.

My2Beauties replied: OK I answered sometimes, I ALWAYS vote in the presidential election, every single time one comes up. This will be my 3rd time voting. I hardly ever go to the polls for like primaries, other elections such as for our senators and stuff that are every 2 years...I just don't follow those enough to vote. I'd be making an uneducated decision.

Anthony275 replied: ill vote in november for obama
