Very sad story!!!

mummy2girls wrote: I was reading the newspaper this morning and came upon a sad story. A famliy of females were driving in a station wagon (a newborn baby also) and were killed instantly from a reckless driver. The woman were going home from a hopsital where the baby was born prematurely 3 weeks prior. they were taking the baby home. And this guy ran througha stop sign and plowed into them. the car flipped and landed in a ditch.Even though the baby was in her carseat they found her body naked 10 meters away. she was thrown from her clothes. The husbands and dad of thses woman were riding in a truck behind them and saw everything. And the guy that plowed into them..they found empty alcohol bottles on the floor next to him.

How sad is that!!! I am bawling my eyes out. Stories like this make u want to hug and not let go of your kids.

Shooter replied: Terrible story. I remember how apprehensive we were the day we finally got Jeremy out of the hospital after 73 days in the NICU. I don't know that I have ever felt more like I was driving on eggshells as during that trip home.

And since becoming a dad, I have gotten much more sensitive to things like this. Stories and pictures bug me alot. I had alot of trouble with the news coverage of that bus bombing in Jerusalem because it kept showing bloodied infants and older children. About made me sick thinking about those poor kids and how senseless all that was. sad.gif

coasterqueen replied: That is absolutely horrible and how horrible for the Dh's to be there to witness it. UGH! I have had two family members killed by drunk drivers so these stories just tear me apart. I will keep that family in my thoughts and prayers.

amynicole21 replied: There isn't enough they could do to torture the drunk driver who did this. I am so sickened by this story, and terribly heartbroken for their families.

supermom replied: And people will continue to drink and drive thinking it will never happen to them......

THat is so sad - so very very sad.......and we'll be driving home next week with the new one.....ack!

Kaitlin'smom replied: so sad, I am always so watching out for the bad drivers on the road, I drive very defensivly more so now with Kaitlin in the car, and since i drive almsot everyday 30+ min one way, I really have to watch, I cant count the number of time I thought if I did not have her with me my car woul dhave to go in the shop!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I am as saddened about this story as I am angered. In most accidents like this is seems that the drunk driver usually survives. Things like this really make me see red. This person had to kill people before he realized that he shouldn't be driving drunk. That poor baby survived being born premature just to be killed by a moron. There is nothing in this world harsh enough to punish him for it.

Heather replied:
I feel the exact same way! I am so saddened by this story. OMG...

MommyToAshley replied: How sad, how horrible! How many stories like this does it take to keep people from driving drunk? My heart breaks for that family! My prayers and thoughts are with them!

CantWait replied: That's so sad and senseless bawling.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: sad.gif That poor family! I could not imagine the horror of all those men watching their loved ones die that way! It's just so awful, that man should be given the death penalty for this! sad.gif

MomofTay&Sam replied: I have horrible goosebumps! How horrific. sad.gif It does NOT matter where I live(NY) THEY dont stop at stop signs. When I do they either pass me or honk. I lose my cool very fast with the kids in the car. I will be praying for this family. sad.gif

TLCDad replied: I just read this post. sad.gif

How sad! My prayers and thoughts will be with them and their families.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: How sad is that.

I hope that the idiots who drive drunk, even if they've *only had 3 beers* get caught. ALL of them. I hate the thought of driving exactly for that reason. Idiots on the road. Not like I'm any safer as a passenger, but at least I konw *I* won't cause any accidents.

Ugh.

Makes me sick.

scotianygirl23 replied: I cant believe that, how sad for those families and the baby. It makes me sick to know that people drink and drive with no thought of anyone else.
