Valentine's Day Gifts - Now that Christmas is over -
mom2my2cuties wrote: What are you ladies thinking of getting your guys for Valentines Day?
I am getting ready to do some gift baskets for a few friends and I have no idea what I could put in a "manly" gift basket. They just told me "Be creative"
And honestly, I am too jetlagged to be creative today
mummy2girls replied: well im goign to put together a romantic gift bag of stuff... silk boxers, massage oils, and other fun stuff like that and book a Themes room at the fantasyland hotel here in West Edmonton Mall. Now all i have to do is get aron to take jenna overnight... you think he will...LOL
mom2my2cuties replied: Aww if I lived closer, I'd keep her for you In all honesty, from the sounds of Aron's issues with Marcus though, he probably wouldn't just out of meanness.
You and Marcus will just have to Honeymoon in Nashville (when the time is right of course - didn't want someone to get the wrong impression here) and that way you can have a Jenna free vacation And she can stalk some Country Music stars.
I am thinking I am going to make food gift baskets... Food is more my thing. Romance for me is good, but I don't know, most guys that my friends are with are really "MANLY" men...Talking belching, butt (and other part) scratching, screaming at the TV on Sunday type manly.
mummy2girls replied: oh i wouldnt tell him that im doing this.. just ask him if i can have another night off...LOL.
Cece00 replied: I'm thinking about getting some cologne for my DH. He bought me two REALLY nice & expensive perfumes for Christmas and I got the impression he's a little jealous that he has no new cologne.
Calimama replied: I thought we'd make our own chocolate covered strawberries, go out to dinner nd maybe dancing. We tend to do an activity rather than a gift. I want to get a hotel room with an in-room hot tub but there is NO WAY I can convince DH to leave bella overnight.
CantWait replied: ????????HMMMMMMM, NOTHING Seriously we don't celebrate Valentines here, and things are going very Romantic around here lately, so I won't be wasting my time or money.
stella6979 replied: Same here. For us, Valentine's Day is just any other day. If anything, we'll go out to dinner, but that's about it.
coasterqueen replied: Valentines, at least still, is a family holiday for us so we'll do something like go to dinner. We really don't do gifts. Last year I had to work on VDay and spent it with another man. Course Dh knew who he was, but he still likes to harass me about it. The event won't be on VDay in '07 so I should safely be home with MY man.
Our Lil' Family replied: We got a restaurant GC for Christmas so unless we can't wait and use it before then we'll probably go out to eat. Or actually, that's right around the time crawfish start to get good so maybe we'll get some boiled crawfish takeout!
moped replied: We don't really do more than a nice dinner at home
C&K*s Mommie replied: We do not do anything terribly special, well at least I do not. Our 1st anniversary of the yr is around that time (we celebrate 2 every yr) , and so is my birthday so Chris does little things for me. But it is just another day to me, so I just get a card for him and that is usually it.
