VENT!!!!! Some people are such buttholes

My2Beauties wrote: OK I have to answer the phones for our HR department here so you can imagine the crap I get anyways as it is. Well earlier today this guy called in and was having some trouble with his benefits. Understandably he was mad, I would be too because of the situation, BUT...this man proceeded to yell at me, to tell me that I cannot put him on hold to research anything, that I cannot trasnfer him to anyone else, which I needed to get our medical team on the line for him because medical team handles our benefits anyways and he then told me that obviously I was lazy and incompetent because I had to possibly transfer the call. He said get out your little piece of paper, find my termination date, match it to the Com-pu-ter (and he broke down the syllables just like that) and FIX IT NOW!!!! He goes DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME, DO YOU UNDERSTAND???????? I mean this guy was not working with a full deck and I think he was a little shy of being psychotic about the whole situations. I mean it's one thing ot be mad in an adult manner and express your concern that you were told your problem wasn't fixed in the past and you want to make sure that it's fixed this time around, but it's another thing to demand that someone not do any research on your matter and jus tknow everything and to take that sort of abuse. My supervisor even called him a jerk! I had to hang up on him because he continued to call me lazy and stupid and incompetent and he goes why would you terminate the call I'm not cursing at you or insulting you, I said sir you called me lazy and incompetent yes you certainly have insulted me and I am terminating this call you can call back when you have calmed down. He then called right back and got another girl here and she was almost in tears while he had her on the phone! Grrrrrrr...some people make me so mad! Just thought I would vent!

I would have hung up, too. I used to get people like that all the time when I worked in the medical field. Tell him who he really needed to call was his doctor for a refill on his crazy meds.

Kaitlin'smom replied: oh shees sorry you had to deal with that. I had to terminate a call before when the swaering started, I told my boss and he laid into him and told him we could no longer help him.

even when I call into someplace whith things that have not been taken care of I am stren and only have gotten rude when 1. they get rude with me or 2. they dont want to do there job

I mean you didnt screw up and mistakes happen nobody is perfect in this world and people make mistakes. Their are times that I had mess up dr appt and they would book my dr appt in the pm and i would show up in the am but i wouldnt get tick off kwim.. I would just kill this guy with kidness and just say you have a nice day that makes people more piss off. Sorry you deal with a behind wipe gesh... Maybe you should call the highest mental ward on this guy. Better be careful with hanging up on people did you hear about the telemarker was hanged up on well the telemarker sent a threat letter to her home ( im just messing with you) but serious that is true with the telemarker situation he called some one house and she hung up on him and he sent a threaten letter to her house . How crazy is that.
