Us, The Good, The Bad and Some really Great News! - VERY LONG!!!!!

Anyway we are all doing well. Claudia's lastday of Daycare is June 30!!! YEA!!!! I actually get to spend time with her this summer!!! Monday and Friday she will go to the Museum with her daddy, she was enrolled in the summer programs there (because Mark works there we don't have to pay, such a bonus to the job)!!! She is really looking forward to going to the programs. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (if I can arrange it with work) I will be taking the kids to my in-laws camp/cottage. It will be so nice to spend time with them. Claudia also finishes her swimming lessons on Monday the 22 and unfortunately I am working that day . We are thinking of putting her in private lessons in the fall, she has had some problems paying attention. Claudia is finally growing out of her clothes, this reminds me of when she was a baby, I was always buying her new clothes because I got tired of seeing her in the same things all the time! She's really loosing her baby face and looks more and more like me everyday. My dad took her to buy paint for her new bike (Spencer's old bike) and he took her for hot chocolate and a donut. When he looked across the table he swore he was looking at me. Claudia is growing up so much and is very close to Emily and Spencer. Claudia will be in Grade 2 next year and we finally got a referal for her to go for Occupational Therapy. She is also in a reading group, which has really improved her word recognition and reading skills. WTG Claudia!!!!
Spencer is doing FANTASTIC!!! I can't believe how well he is doing! He tried out for the track team this year, but still doesn't have the endurance. Next year, hopefully. We'll get him active this summer and that will make a world of difference! A few months ago we had an asessment done at Sylvan Learning Centre and it showed that he was behind in Math and reading. Since he started he has more confidence, he is reading more and more and his teacher is amazed at the improvements he has made!!! He will continue for a few weeks during the summer and hopefully he will just need occupational therapy in the fall. Spencer will be graduating with his class this Wednesday and will be starting Grade 7 in the fall. He's really come a long way, I'm so proud of him!!! We are heading to Toronto at the end of July (anyone want us to visit????) for his 6 month check-up. That's right he only needs to go to Sick Kids every 6 months now!!! WTG Spencer!!!
Emily, well what can I say about Emily. She's a teenager now, has her own cell phone and spends 90% of her time in her "hole" in the basement on MSN or texting her friends. Every once in a while she comes out and spends time with us! Emily and I are very close, she is so grown up, so mature and is thinking of applying for her first job this summer at the Public Library (where both Mark and I worked when we were teenagers). Emily is graduating on Wednesday and will be starting Highschool in the fall. She has made the honour roll, both this semester and last semester and is just so smart! She is going to one of 2 Catholic High Schools and Uniforms are manditory (it's the same High School that Mark and I went too, but back then we didn't have to wear uniforms). The uniforms are pretty basic, black pants (no jeans), white dress shirts with the school logo on it, grey zippered hoodies with the school logo on them. Pretty casual.
Now for some bad news. 2 months ago, my sister and my oldest nephew had a huge argument. They live outside the city limits. About a 30 min. drive to there house. Anyway my sister picked up his computer monitor and threw it across the room. He borrowed his step sisters bike and rode into town. He has been staying with friends. Despite all of this, he graduated from Highschool on June 11. I'm so very proud of him. My sister packed up all his belongings and turned his room into his 3 year old brothers room. She posted updates on the progress, the situation on facebook. I cried everytime I saw her posts. I'm very close to my nephew and it breaks my heart that he no longer has a home.
I have been sick since the middle of April with colds, sinus infections, bronchitis and then the flu! I am finally starting to feel better and have done some research. I think it's my work environment that is making me sick. The renovated the store that I work at, starting before Christmas. There are a lot of my co-workers that were sick durning the renovations and now after the renovations have finished. I have been off of work since June 9 and will be returning on June 21.
