Update on Lexi's headaches

lisar wrote: Well friday her headache never went away. So I called around and got into an eye dr on saturday and come to find out she needs glasses. I have had her eyes checked before but apparently thats what she needs. It is kinda a relief to know thats all it is and nothing major going on. KWIM? So her glasses will be ready by wednesday for us to go and pick up. I will take pics and show them to you as soon as she has them. And she isnt very happy about having to wear them so I am just trying to tell her how good she will look in them. We let her pick them out.

Oh and everyone please say thanks to my sissy for me. She helped me alot with her glasses. THANK YOU SISSY!!!!!!

jcc64 replied: That's so funny it wound up that way, Lisa! Do you remember when I was telling you about my headaches as a child, as well as my tendency to get headaches if other people talk about headaches, see an aspirin commercial, etc..? Well, yesterday, I got a horrific one, so bad it almost made me puke, and no amount of advil would cure it. It lasted all day! Anyway, I realized that it was b/c I had done ALOT of reading- almost 5 hrs worth for a class assignment, and though I have reading glasses, I never wear them. I decided to give it a shot today, and guess what, no more headache.
Parallel universes in NY and Fla! rolling_smile.gif Glad you got an answer, I know how worried you were! If your dd's upset about getting glasses, remind her she can get contacts when she's a little older.

lisar replied:
Thanks. And I am SOOOO happy it wasnt something bad. I was worried I have to admit cause I wasnt leaning toward her eyes so much cause I had them checked before. But the dr did say that it dont take long to happen. And I think Lexi will be okay with the glasses once she gets them. Right now her main concern is her 4-wheeler. She thinks she cant ride her 4-wheeler with her glasses. But she can. We are gona have a pair of goggles made just for that. So she will be good on that. And until then she can ride without the glasses. Or wear them under the helmet. They are 100% warrantable. No matter what happens to them so they will replace them up to a year. And by then I will have the vision insurance back into effect and it cost $5.00 for glasses no matter what kind shape or anything with the insurance.

Thanks again.

ZandersMama replied: I'm so happy thats all it is! Once she gets use to them she will be okay, Igot mine in elementary school. Took me about a month or so before i was okay with them. And tell her for me that I ride mine 4 wheeling and it makes it easier to not get hit by branches tongue.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I'm glad that's all it was! thumb.gif I had to get glasses for headaches when I was about 12. I'll bet Lexi's will be a LOT prettier than mine were!! They've come a long way since the early 90's. tongue.gif rolling_smile.gif
