Update on Jenna
mummy2girls wrote: first of all thank you for all your wishes and prayers. Jenna is doing good. They checked her at the hospital(peds emergency) and he said the reason for the blood is she has a fisure(sp?). And the amount of pushing she tore a bit. The bowels are healthy and fine. They said she is in pain from the fisure so she holds in her stools and by the time she gets rid of them they are hard and dry. They prescribed her some lactulose syrup to soften the stools. And in a few days she should be back to normal. They also gave her nystatin because she does have a yeast infection on the bumb. the doctor said i wasnt overreacting because i was just worried because of my past experience with Jordan. I know jenna is a different child but whenever something like this happens it scares me...im taking her for a follow up appointment at her peds on friday... again thanks
supermom replied: Glad it wasn't something more serious, and certainly no one could blame you for being concerned. Hope that med works, and things go well for both of you - now at least you can relax (a little) and maybe get some rest....hugs to you and Jenna
MomofTay&Sam replied: Thank gosh she is ok! I just replied to your other thread, I was so worried.
MommyToAshley replied: I am soooooooo glad everything is ok. Hugs to both of you! Obviously it was a good thing that you took her to doc... it might not have been serious, but she was in pain and at least now you can do something to comfort her. I hope she is feeling better soon!
kit_kats_mom replied: wonderful to hear things are good. Trust me on the lactolace, that stuff works wonders. I had a chronically constipated cat and they perscribed that for her. Wow! Worked like a charm. Hugs to you both, now try to relax.

jdkjd replied: I'm so glad she's ok. I'm sure the laxative will work great. And you had every right to react the way you did, I'm afraid I would have been a lot more panicked.
