Update on Hope and Sharon....

*HopesDaddy* wrote: First of all Sharon is doing good. She is getting released in the next couple of days. She did get a chance to see Hope. She was taken to the NICU in a wheel chair. And Sharon held her.

Hope is doing awesome. Her breathing tube was taken out today and she is now being tube fed with her mommy's milk She is doing so wonderful..here is a pick of her sitting up..with the help of nurses that is.

Thank you for all your well wishes and prayers. She does look big for her age. Doctors and nurses are very shocked when they see her. She is a fighter!

Sharon is physically doing good. she is walking a bit but she is still pretty sore. She has been laying in bed for soooooo long so its differt to walk around for more than 2 minutes at a time. Mentally she is doing ok somewhat. she has good moments and then sad moments. Holding Hope though helped her feel better.

jem0622 replied: Great news! Continued prayers that Hope gains strength and ounces by the day. Mommy's milk is the best! So is human touch...so if they let you or sharon snuggle with her then all the better!

If Sharon needs advice on a breastpump then I would recommend a Medela PIS or an Purely Yours pump. I am a PIS fan myself. Used it for both of my boys.

Schnoogly replied: Actually she needs to rent a hospital grade pump in order to pump for a sick baby in the hospital. No other pump will give her the supply she needs. That's probably what she's using in the hospital right now.

I agree, she looks great! Holding them does make it all better

*Heather* replied: Way to be a fighter Hope! I work with preemies in a level 3 NICU and I see how small some of these babies are and they truly are fighters and little miracles!! Congrats on your sweet little girl!! Hopefully, Sharon is making out well, and you are making do!! Take care!!
