ZandersMama wrote: I went for my ultrasound.......seems somehow my ring is lodged high up inside my cervix. I have no idea yet what they are going to do, my doctor is out until monday, I will be seeing her monday afternoon. anyone have any idea how they are going to get it out?
Mommy2BAK replied: like the birth control Nueva ring???
ZandersMama replied: yup i posted about it here http://forums.parentingclub.com/index.php?...topic=70566&hl=
Calimama replied: That's why that scares me!!
Mommy2BAK replied: eekk, ya I just found your post in women's health. I hope everything will be okay. Are you in any pain?
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: Yikes! I think they would do like a D&C, or maybe just a pelvic & pull it out? I don't know.
lisar replied: OMG... I must have missed the first post about it. KUP on how things go and what they say.... I am so sorry you are dealing with this.
Kaitlin'smom replied: no idea but I would have thought they would need to combine the two so they know where to get it from, cause it could move by monday.
A&A'smommy replied: I was wondering about you, I'm glad they found it!!
ZandersMama replied: I had a pelvic, she cant get it that way because its lodged so high. I'm freaking out guys. The doctor also had me put in another ring without knowing where the other was, to try to stop the bleeding. Now I have two inside me..........i'm not sure what to do, other then switch doctors
holley79 replied: At first I thought maybe you meant like a ring that you have on your finger.
That is a scary thought. I hope they are able to get you taken care of. I can't believe they put another in before doing a u/s how scary is that! This is why I have been scared of the ring.
ZandersMama replied: This is whats posted on their site. im so
Can NuvaRing® get lost inside of me? No. There is no danger of NuvaRing® being pushed too far up in the vagina or getting lost. NuvaRing® cannot go farther than the cervix.

Mommy2BAK replied: one word... lawsuit!
Calimama replied: Ugh. I'm sorry hun. I would NOT have let the doctor put in another one.
ZandersMama replied: I put them in myself, its not like an IUD it just sits in the vagina.(supposedly ) So she said to me that it must have fallen out and not to worry about it, and just to put a new one in and she would book an ultrasound to be safe. I told her then that I knew it didnt fall out (it would be hard to miss ) and she said to put in another one. Im so switching doctors.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: To get on the other side of your cervix you must have dialated for some reason...have you taken a pregnancy test? Can you go to the hospital? I wouldn't wait until monday! Your membranes are thinner higher up in your vagina and I would be really concerned about too much hormone being delivered. Also make sure to get EVERYTHING about this in your medical records and in your hands because I would say you have a suit for at least these medical bills! KUP!
sparkys2boys replied: Thats what I was thinking, I would be seeking more medical attention to be honest. It seems since she was wrong and now doens't know what to do they are pushing aside.. hope your ok
MoonMama replied: No kidding.
