CantWait wrote: I leave for overseas February 29. I'm so excited. Ron also just called and said that it's sorted out at work that we could put Anthony in daycare. YAY!!!!!!

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Good for yoU!!!!!!!!! laugh.gif

lisar replied: I am happy for you. But be careful.

Insanemomof3 replied: thumb.gif Happy that you get to go, but be careful. hug.gif

holley79 replied: thumb.gif Good Deal! Sounds like things are working out for you.

A&A'smommy replied: wow how exciting.. Where are you going again, and how long will you be gone?

moped replied: So what will you be doing there Marie??

Calimama replied: Congrats!! How are the kids taking it?

CantWait replied:

Robbie hasn't said much about it. I haven't said nothing to Anthony yet since it's still so long and at 4 the concept of time isn't really there. I don't want to hear about it for the next 4 months. I know he'll be quite upset it because he's a mommy's boy. I'm going to set up his very own e-mail account though so he can e-mail me everyday when he misses me and I'll set up some things (like kisses in a jar, gifts from the dollar store etc) so that he feels better.

luvmykids replied: Congrats and good luck! thumb.gif

Another idea for Anthony is for you to record yourself reading some of his favorite books wub.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: ohmy.gif wow congrats, I know its what you want. SO will you have internet then? Will we get greetings from you over there?

grapfruit replied: So how did this opportunity come about?

coasterqueen replied:
Ryan did this for the girls when he was in Louisiana for that three months. He bought books, sent them to us and recorded himself reading them. It was great.

GL Marie. hug.gif hug.gif

sparkys2boys replied: HOLY MOLY Marie... now thats a change from being a stay at home mom if ever..lol!! I'm glad that things finally all fell into place for you!! GL with it and be safe!!!

CantWait replied:

It was advertised on the website where military spouses usually look for employment on base. Lots of non-military associated people are also going though. I went through a phone interview, had to get a bunch of paperwork done, as well as get a medical, dental and social, and get my passport before the 1 of Oct. Once that was all done I went to Kingston for the two weeks training and based on that was selected.

moped replied: ANd how is Ron feeling about all this???

CantWait replied:
Ron is being super supportive. He's working things out at work so that he doesn't have to do a duty (stay at work overnight) while I'm away, he's helping people out more then normal and doing things for them so that the favour is returned when I'm away, and well as so that we can put Anthony in daycare instead of wondering whether our babysitter will fully commit or not. He's been printing stuff off for me constantly, and lending me money money money for my passport, first aid/cpr, etc....He's really gone above and beyond.

That being said, he's kinda irritated that I'm willing to put myself in danger for something that I don't HAVE to do. He says for him it's a job and he doesn't have the choice when he goes, so he doesn't understand why I would. But he is backing me 100%

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I admire your courage and strength. You are truly amazing! I know you have some time before you go, but best of luck and like everyone else said, please be careful. hug.gif I think you are setting a great example for your boys. thumb.gif

moped replied:
That is great Marie!!!!!!
