Ugh Why me?
My2Beauties wrote: So, of course, they counter offer our bid. Not only did they "counter-offer" these people won't budge. They came back and said and I quote "they were very dissapointed in our bid" and that they will accept NO LESS than what they are asking, they will not leave any appliances, they will not even pay $400 for a 1 year home warranty So there goes that house, they're in for a rude awakening if they think they're gonna get what they are asking being that it's in tornado alley and doesn't have a basement. Oh well - just wasn't meant to be I guess. Then we find an even better house last night and are going to look at it today but turns our it's in the flood plain, which means that we have to have flood insurance. It's only an extra $300 per year but who wants to worry about standing water in their home MSD which is our Metropolitan Sewer District has been re-surbeying Louisville for the past 18 months and many of the houses even around the corner from this house are falling off the flood plain in December of this year - which is awesome, it means their sewer problem is fixed - BUT the agent for this house has no idea if this house will fall off, she is trying to find out as we speak! But even when that subdivision flooded 10 years ago when we had the huge storm - this house didn't, it has never flooded! But it's like well - do I take that chance ya know ?? Ohhhh woe is me!
J-rod replied: oh well your time will come.
moped replied: Ah that is too bad, but I suppose it wans't meant to be for whatever eraossn - the perfect house will be right in front of you
Kaitlin'smom replied: wow $300 is CHEEP, when I have to write flood ins here its a min of $500 and usually more like $800+ sorry you did not get the house. dont worry you will find your home. I knew the instant I saw the address of the house I am in now, even before I went inside, that it was going to be our first home.
kit_kats_mom replied: LeAnn, shopping for housing is full of emotional ups and downs. Just keep in mind that everything happens for a reason. We'd found a house we LOVED a few years ago but it was sold before we got our offer in. Not even two months later, DH was transferred to Nashville which came as a big suprise! It was a lot easier to move out of our apartment as opposed to trying to sell a house and then move.
Anyway, even if you loved it, there must be something that's perfect out there somewhere waiting for you.
kimberley replied: sorry hon. i hope you find your perfect house soon.
Bee_Kay replied: Sorry
Hopefully, with patience, you will find your dreamhome!!
aspenblue1 replied: House hunting is so stressful but everything happens for a reason we had a house we were going to bid on that we loved and it sold that day the same day we found our current house.
CantWait replied: Sorry it didn't work out. Be patient, the right one will come along.
TheOaf66 replied: isn't house hunting fun
My2Beauties replied: Yeah I am trying to keep a positive outlook. See if we did get this house, I would definitely look at that other house as being a blessing in disguise, this house is so much nicer for the price! I just hope it's not in the flood plain, but we will see I guess! Wait wait wait!
A&A'smommy replied: goodness I'm sorry but your right its probably not meant to be..your house is out there!!!
Boo&BugsMom replied: We went through so many houses and put so many offers in before we got our house. It's not even our house we plan on being in forever. The right one will come along when you least expect it! Sending happy home prayers your way.

MommyToAshley replied: I'm sorry you didn't get the house you wanted, but maybe it's for the very reason you said... it's in tornado alley and no basement. You may never know, but I am sure there is a reason. Hang in there, your perfect home will come along.
3xsthefun replied: I'm so sorry didn't get the house.
I'm sure the right house is out there somewhere.
