Ugh...Anyone else dreading - the back to school routine?

luvmykids wrote: I know it'll be good to get them back in school, but the whole getting up early, going out in the freezing morning cold part of it has me less than excited dry.gif

Calimama replied: I'll be home in my warm bed. biggrin.gif Is it any consolation to know that I have to hear the bells and morning announcements everyday since I live so close to a school?

No?.. I didn't think it would be. noooooo.gif emlaugh.gif

I'm determined to make room in the garage for my car...that will make it a little more pleasant. Until we have to get out of it at the school two minutes later emlaugh.gif

kimberley replied: wavey.gif it's 6:30am and today promises to be another hectic chauffeur day for me. i wish we could just home school in the winter lol.

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley went back to school last Thursday... not sure why they went back in the middle of the week but all the schools in our area did.

mom21kid2dogs replied: We were supposed to go back last Wednesday but had a snow day instead. They did go back on Thursday after a 2 hour delay. I hate the routine, too, plus we had such a fun time on break that I hated to send her back. sad.gif She was sure ready though! She asked me every 2 minutes for an hour if we could go yet!!!

No cold morning here (Ohio) this morning, though. It's 61 and is projected to be 70 today. Maybe it's a good omen for the Buckeyes since it should be at least as warm as it is in New Orleans laugh.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Nope. I was looking FORWARD to the quietness of my days once again.

Funny cute story... this morning was CHAOS. Absolute HORROR. ANyways... amidst everyone yelling and running and whining and all that fun stuff that usually comes in the last 5 minutes before the kids have to be out the door to their bus stop, Naomie is sitting quietly on the couch, "reading" a story book to herself. I turned the lamp on for her, and she says: "you turned the light on for MEEE?! I love you mommy"

DillsMommy replied: Dylan went back last Thursday. Right now, ahhh--peace and quiet!

BAC'sMom replied: Nope I look forward to it and I am doing my happy dance this morning partydance.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Same here!!!!

coasterqueen replied: I was looking forward to it, too. Mainly because Kylie is a people person and constantly needs to be around kids and not being able to do that as much while on vacation has driven that girl and me bananas. happy.gif

luvmykids replied: We don't go back until Wednesday...I wonder whats up with the middle of the week thing for so many of us?

Kaitlin'smom replied: Kaitlin went back last wednesday. She to a a BIG people person and LOVES being around kids, after he party saturday we went to my sisters and ended up bring home the 2 older boys to spend the night, they played ALL day together yesterday. It was nice I could get things done with out her bugging me.

katiesmom2002 replied: My daughter went back to school last thursday, she was ready actually. Today(monday) she was kinda not wanting to go to school so i hope we dont go through this again where she hates going to school, she just now started enjoying going lol.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Tanner already went back to school on the 3rd. But, yes, I hated the whole routine of it all. I liked staying in my PJ's until 10, not having to get Aiden ready for the cold, and not having to be rushed out the door. sleep.gif

holley79 replied: Well I have to get up no matter what. emlaugh.gif

Brias3 replied: My kids went back last Wednesday too. And I usually don't say this, but that could NOT have come sooner!! (They were at each other's throats all of break I felt like- uggh rolleyes.gif )

It hasn't been bad with this crazy weather, but I do always dread the whole freezing car in the morning bit. Plus, my car has been parked in the driveway since right after Christmas because DH has stuff ALL over two of our spots in the garage for the new flooring we're putting in the laundry room and office dry.gif
