Yeah, she called a couple days ago and wanted me to stop over and visit, so I did. We talked a little bit and she cried and said she was sorry.

That evening her and her BF stopped over and invited Ashley and Tyler to go to the movies with them.

She has stopped over a couple times. So, we'll see how it goes.

They are both working now and he FINALLY got his drivers license, so hopefully they are growing up a little bit.

We invited them over for Easter dinner and they said they would like to come over.

I'm so glad your sd is starting to come around a little. You are really getting excited about this baby now. I don't blame you...it's hard not to, but a lot easier when you know you will have a decent relationship with her.

Aww heck, I can't help but get excited.

No matter how turbulent the relationship is at times with my SD, I don't want it to affect my relationship with my granddaughter (OMG does that sound weird)!

I showed her the diaper bag and she loved it.

We agreed that anything I make or buy for the baby, I'll keep here until she is born.

And I know I've asked before, but what does SD mean? Sorry...I know she's related somehow, but not sure 100%!

I only refer to her as SD on here to show our family dynamics, I never use that term in reference to her IRL (she is now 18, and I started raising her fulltime when she was 2 because her biological mother walked out of her life)

It's weird to get used to this change in attitude from her. Yesterday afternoon, her and her BF stopped in for about 20 - 30 minutes for no reason.... it takes me a little off guard.

She's been awfully "flighty" for the past few months, so I am trying to not put a whole lot of faith into it yet.
