Did you eat before you weighed this morning?

booey2 replied: Hugs to you, I would post what you weigh on the day that you weighed in on last week, ie: if you weighed in on Tuesday last week, use todays weight, if it was another day use the other weight.

I am up everything I lost last week, all 5.8 pounds of it bawling.gif . Gotta luv amoxicilin. tongue.gif

~CrazieMama~ replied: No, I don't eat breakfast or lunch. I wake up in the morning go potty and then weigh myself. I am gonna stick with the 167. I know there is no way I gained 2 lbs since yesterday. lol unless I put on 2 lbs of muscle from yesterday..........lol j/k

Maybe your body is holding water. If you didn't drink much, you body will retain water. 2 pounds sounds like a lot though.

I need to go weigh myself... I'll post soon. I don't think I lost any, I hope I didn't gain!

I second that thought, you have just started working out it is probably water because you have to eat an additional 3500 cal to gain 1 pound of fat. Drink up, 8 glasses of fluid or water daily. Fluid being - water, non-cafinated products, herbal tea, fruit juice (just watch the fruit juice tho because they can be high in sugar).

Julie (jem0622) replied: Let me share something with you b/c I learned this after stressing over weight gain this past week. I had a stomach virus last week and two days I barely ate or drank. First, your body needs at least 64 oz of water every day. If you do take in this (at a minimum) then you will keep your metabolism up. I bought this beheamouth mug from WalMart that holds 64 oz and has a straw so I can get my daily water. I pee like mad, but hey...do you know what? I was up to 189 last week and today....

BTW, your body will horde calories if you don't eat regular meals. So don't deprive yourself of food to lose weight. Not a good thing. In the long haul you will do damage to yourself that you cannot see.

Okay, I'm doing a little dance over here in my corner. YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO I cannot beleive I'm down another 2 lbs and I was up 3. YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO. I was in such a funk after that naughty weigh in.

Now...if I fall off the wagon...it's cause I'm indulging in pancakes and sausage tonight. rolling_smile.gif

I have not drank too much water in the past couple of days....which could be why im heavier today than yesterday.

I think if you started to eat a breakfast and a lunch you might see more weight come off. You may not be hungry, but in order to get that metabolism going you should eat all the time. I eat a low fat breakfast and then in between that I will have a piece of fruit and then lunch then another little snack and then finally dinner. Even if you aren't truly starving your self your body might percieve that you are because you aren't feeding it. In that case it's going to retain the fat. I took the nutrtion course in college and have a brother who could recite to you what happens to that piece of food from the moment it enters your mouth until the end. It's kind of frightening really, but that is why he looks as good as he does.
