Totally serious question - *might be TMI*
Danalana wrote: Is it common practice for men not to wash their hands after they pee? I didn't have brothers...I had male cousins, but it's not like I followed them around to observe their bathroom routines. Richard doesn't wash his hands if he just pees, and I am disturbed. He told me "I'm not touching anything except skin". What kind of excuse is that? We girls don't touch ANYTHING, but most girls I know wash their hands after using the bathroom. Anyway, I just wanted to know if this is the norm. Personally, I think it's disgusting
coasterqueen replied: My husband washes his, so I have no clue if it's the norm or what.
jcc64 replied: None of the guys I know wash their hands. I grew up with brothers, I have boys, I lived with boys in college--none of them washed their hands. I don't know why girls do and boys don't--it's a good question. Maybe i just live with dirty boys!
mummy2girls replied: Marcus washes his so i am not sure:(
BAC'sMom replied: My DH and our boys do
Danalana replied: I will teach Kade to wash his hands! Either that, or I am going to STOP washing mine
Celestrina replied: DH washes his, but sometimes DS tries to get away with just rinsing his.
Crystalina replied: DH did not for many many years before I realized it. One day it just popped into my head that he didn't (I think it was after having Izabella). Then I was like, "For the last 10 years you've not washed your hands after peeing! Gross!!!" I'm pretty sure we were in the middle of watching a movie when the thought occured to me. He was stunned that I brought it up out of nowhere. He says the same thing....it's just skin. Uh yeah! But it's dickey-doo skin! Now he does and I also keep hand sanitizer in the bathroom in case he (and Evan) are too lazy to do it. I remember when one day Evan tried to be "extra clean" and used the hand sanitizer before peeing. That turned out ugly and very painful for him. I'm a hand sanitizer nut anyway so if they forget I'll get them a few minutes later. I also walk around the house saying "Gimme your hand" a few times throughout the day. I'm nowhere near a germaphobe but I don't want sickness going around either.
I would suffice it to guess that most men don't.
Calimama replied: DH washes his hands. That's really gross not too.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Ugh my Dh says the same thing Dana! I've never understood how that is not getting them dirty. I'm always getting after him to wash his hands.
A&A'smommy replied: uhhh I have no idea, i will have to ask him when he gets home
Boys r us replied: my dh does and my boys do..well maybe not when they think I won't know..who knows.. But tell him it's not about touching his "skin" it's about lifting the toilet seat that has been peed all over and flush sprayed..I mean seriously..think about how nasty that it is!
My2Beauties replied: I don't think my DH does either!
Danalana replied: Well, it brings me a LITTLE comfort that he isn't the only one...he looked at me like I had two heads when I asked him about it and told him it was gross. I still think it is!
