Toothpaste

amynicole21 replied: We use baby toothpaste still... I think that orajel makes it. We have tried the gerber brand, but Sophia didn't like the taste

Kaitlin'smom replied: I am guessing a very small amount is used and have you taught them to spit it out or do they usually swallow it?

alice&arik replied: I use toddler toothpaste with Arik. It is Blues Clues. I am not sure who makes it or anything. I just give him a very small amount because he doens't spit it out yet. And if I use mine, I put a tiny dab on there and then run it under the water so it is almost gone. He thinks there is some on there though .

jem0622 replied: I use a kid's flavored toothpaste for both boys. And they only get about the size of a pea on their toothbrushes. Sometimes Nathan (4) likes to use the minty stuff so I just let him use a small smear of it.

Hannah hasn't gotten the whole spitting out thing yet, but it is fluoride-free and perfectly safe to swallow. And I only use a tiny little bit, too.

I just use water but I keep meaning to pick up the baby oragel toothpaste for Jason

I put a small amount on and it's not bad if they swallow it. Kylie just mainly sucks it off.

Kaitlin'smom replied: thanks everyone, I will have to look into some for Kaitlin, she loves brushing her teeth (a habit I hope she keeps and will encourage) every time we go into the bathroom she says teeth

MommyToAshley replied: I've used both the gerber and the orajel toothpaste for babies/toddlers. You can find it in the baby section of just about any store.

Ashley loves to brush her teeth too. She won't let me put the toothpaste on her brush, she has to do that herself. She's in that stage where she has to do everything by herself!
