Took both boys shopping!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: I'm so proud of us! I took both boys out to Albertsons today for groceries! I put Wil in the front of the cart and I put Wesley in the Bjorn. It worked out great! Wil was crying the whole time because he saw the car cart and I didn't let him go in it, but besides that, we got through the store okay! thumb.gif So all you PG mamas about to have your second, it is doable! Now for those who have three or more...I have NO IDEA how you do it! dunno.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Obviously #3 isn't here yet but to stay sane with the 2 that I have we use the car cart smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: well thats good to know!!! I'm not pg but I'm terrified what life is going to be like when we do finally have the second!!! WTG on your shopping trip sounds like it was enjoyable too (except for the crying part) thumb.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
I second that! happy.gif
I dont know how mommies of two and more do anything! Shopping with one is a chore in itself sometimes! blush.gif

wtg bringing both boys out! thumb.gif

BAC'sMom replied:

As a Mom of 3 (10,6 and 2) you learn to adjust and to grow eyes in the back of your head. rolling_smile.gif

WTG on your first venture out, things will get better. hug.gif

moped replied: Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is one thing I have often wondered about.....good to know. BUT what do you do when they are 3 and 1ish????

MyLuvBugs replied: That's great!! Good for you! I have hope now. laugh.gif

Jamison'smama replied:
Well, Sams club has double seats in the front, Kroger and others have the car carts (with seatbelts), one can still be in a sling or backpack (the only way we'll go to Home Depot) or the best option---two of our nearby grocery stores have great supervised play places that Jamison is old enough to go to so it is only Jack and I shopping.

redchief replied: We got daddy to babysit (that's me) while mommy shops. laugh.gif

Thank God they're all old enough to help her shop now. Or should I be saying, "curses!?"

PrairieMom replied: Isnt it funny how something as little as shopping can make you feel so empowered? We are Mommies, hear us ROAR! laugh.gif thumb.gif

luvmykids replied:
The car cart used to be perfect, the twins would "drive" while Macie was in the cart seat, but now she's old enough to want to drive too ...so we have to take turns which makes the whole thing a bigger pain than it already is rolleyes.gif

WTG Rae thumb.gif Now that you have that one under your belt you'll be just fine!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
YEAH! I felt silly posting this...as if it's not really a big deal, but IT IS!!! I felt really confident getting out...so much more than I did the first time when Wil was an infant! I broke out in a sweat then! Today I kept my cool!

Jen, I guess the car carts will work when they're older. I think Walmart has those carts that have two plastic seats on the front...not sure. Wil can also sit in the basket part, but it makes me nervous...he likes to stand! wacko.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Groceries, when Naomie was a baby, I'd put her in the carrying thing, and I had the other 2 in the cart. One in the seat, the other in the basket. And I'd just pile the groceries around them... rolling_smile.gif but I rarely went alone. We live just across the street from it, but it's tough to walk home with 3 kids AND groceries, considering I do not drive.

Other times, we get the double seat, and sit the two girls in the front part and Zach in the basket... or we just get two carts. biggrin.gif

coasterqueen replied: I definitely felt more comfortable shopping w/2 than I did with one. Although I make the whole experience easy on all of us and I do most of my grocery shopping over 2 days of lunch hours. happy.gif

JP&KJMOM replied: If at all possible I leave mine at home with DH! Kinda gives me that me time plus if they do go my grocery bill increases by quiet a bit therefore I try to not take them and save money! emlaugh.gif
