Tingly and Numb fingers - Is this a symptom????

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I don't remember ever having that sypmtom, but I remember the nurses would always ask me if I was having any tingling in my hands. I wonder if it has something to do with blood pressure? IDK sorry I'm not much help.
sparkys2boys replied: Yup, I had it with both boys. If it keeps up I would mention it to your doc though
Kaitlin'smom replied: yep, mind did not start till later though, I ended up with PG carpal tunnal, and had to wear a brace on my left hand which was worse than the right, I still have symptoms occasionaly.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yep, a lot more so with Wesley! I think its probably just change in blood volume and flow. Take a break when you feel it and it should go away.
grapfruit replied: That's crazy...all these things I don't know...
lisar replied: I have it in my right arm only cause I have carpal tunnel. I had it before I was pg though. So it wasnt unusual for me.
Linc replied: If it start spreading over the coming days let your dr know asap. My wife had/has it and they thought it was bells palsy, but it is still here after her birth, so they are doing more tests. Hers spread pretty quickly (under a week) so I would definitely keep an eye on it.
mom21kid2dogs replied: I had it in my toes but I've heard it's more common to have it in the hands. It was not until late in the 2nd trimester, though. If it continues, I'd call the doc & check it out!
Farelle replied: Could be carpal tunnel. Your MD can do a simple hand test right in the office to check on that. A friend of mine also had something called Dequerren's Tendonitis (not sure on that spelling) after she had her daughter. It's from keeping your hand in the same position a lot. She's better now! Good luck!
jem0622 replied: Not while pregnant. But I did have it (Carpel Tunnel) and had surgery. Annoying as heck!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Does it feel like pressure or swelling? It could be Pregnancy induced Carpel Tunnel. I had it in my right hand mostly in my middle, ring, and pointer fingers. I had an appointment to have it looked at and then I broke my leg so that got put on the back burner It did go away after I had Tay though. I do get the pressure feeling every once in a while still tho.
