Thoughts about conceiving
Halo42101 wrote: My obgyn told me that usually woman who ttc in the middle of the month, get pregnant. Has anyone else heard that? Last time I was pregnant, I believe I conceived in the middle of December. I was also told that if you stand on your head after you "are intimate," you will conceive. So, I tried it in December. DH thought I was crazy but then he remembered after I told him I was pregnant that I stood on my head and he didn't think I was crazy anymore. I was wondering if anyone else did this and it worked as well. God bless everyone who is ttc.

kayla's mama replied: I didn't nessisarily stand on my head but I did have my hips elevated for about 20 mins. afterward though. Not much luck with it though. I'll pm you how I think I concieved, its not suitable for this forum its more P&I, if you want to know
Halo42101 replied: Sorry, I thought it was okay to post that here. Now, I know.
kayla's mama replied: No I think you miss understood what I was saying!!!
The way that it worked for us is not suitable for this forum.
What you posted here is fine. There is nothing wrong with it. Sorry if my post came across that way.
MyLuvBugs replied: Ya know....I never thought about it, but there might be something to that middle of the month thing....Lorelei was conceived on March 13th 2004 and This one on December 14th 2005.....Hmmmmmm. Good luck sweetie. Every little thing I'm sure will help.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I ttc'd in the beginning of the month with this one and got pg - it just depends on when the middle of your cycle is. Probably the reason that women usually get pg when they ttc in the middle of the month is because that's when the middle of their cycle is.
I've heard things like standing on your head and all that, but I don't necessarily believe that that's what helps you get pg - I think the sperm is pretty capable of getting there on it's own. It probably doesn't hurt but I don't really think it helps either. JMO.
I have a bad memory ~ when are you going to start ttc again? Good luck when you do!
Halo42101 replied: Thank you for posting, Brandi, Erika & Sara. No worries, Brandi. It's okay. Erika, I have been wondering how you're doing. I pray that all is well for you & your family. Sara, I think we will ttc again in May. My obgyn suggested that I at least wait a month until I am regular again. If I do conceive in May, that will mean we will have a February baby. Mine and my DH birthday is in February, along with so many other of our family members. I think that would be cool. I hope you all are enjoying the weekend.

Halo42101 replied: I was so excited at the thought about ttc again that my mom reminded me my Doctor said to wait at least 2 months from now. It's to let my body heal from the surgery and everything else that I went through. Like I said, I have always wanted to be a mother. So, the wait is hard. But I really have no choice but to wait now. I suppose it will happen in God's time. I just have to keep reminding myself to be patient.
moped replied: LOL - I did that twice and got PG twice, Tom thought I was mental but I did and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He went to the bathroom and I stood on my head a few minutes
Halo42101 replied: That's cool, Jen. I was happy to hear that it worked for you both times. Btw, that's a sweet picture of you & your husband together, kissing in the ocean. God bless you & yours.

CosmetologyMommy replied: lol that reminds me of that episode of ROSEANNE(Anyone watch?) where she is trying to get pregnant! She has her legs up and she is yelling at Dan!
jacobsmama replied: Good Luck Jessi with trying to concieve I don't really know about middle of month vs any other time but I also elevated my hips a few times not sure if it helped but hey when you want to be pregnant I think we would stand up on our heads all night if we were told too...or at least I would have
Good luck again Jessi...Fingers crossed for you when your trying.
