Thought you all might get a kick out of this - no laughing at him, please.
MyBrownEyedBoy wrote: I was cleaning out my cedar chest and putting some of Logan's baby clothes in it and I found Benji. He was my teddy bear from birth on. I took him everywhere, he went to the hospital when I had knee surgery, he went on all my sleep overs, and he went to college. I thought you might get a kick out of seeing a piece of my childhood. He's missing fur on most of his body and I had to sew his mouth and nose back on when I was 12 (they don't look too professional). I know he's really ratty looking, but I still love him.
Benji, looking well loved.

Close up. His eyes are crooked 'cause my mom had to glue one on in a hurry after my sister pulled it off and I was freaking out (I was 5). His ears are off center too, one came off in the hospital before my knee surgery, I again freaked out (I was 18) and the doctor had a nurse sew it back on while I was in surgery.
Our Lil' Family replied: He's adorable!!! That's very heart warming...TFS Kelly!!

~Roo'sMama~ replied: aww he's cute. I had a care bear (it was Friend Bear) that I slept with every night until I got married. He's up in a box somewhere - now you're making me want to go get him out.
lisar replied: I think Benji is to cute. I had a blanket like that when I was little. My grand-mother still has the blanket. Its all ratted out and torn and comming apart.
Mommy2Isabella replied: I still have my baby blanket and a Cabbage Patch kid, the blanket isn't ratty suprisngly!!
kimberley replied: aww he's cute. tfs!
Kaitlin'smom replied: awwweeee what a sweet bear, no wonder you LOVE him.
I have a stuffed Gizmo that I loved as a kid, he was the only thing I kept going back to , I still have him....he looks terrible but what do you expcet of a 22 year old stuffed animal.
I also have the feeling no matter what Kait will always love her teddy she takes it with her ALL the time, I am sure I will never be able to get rid of him, but I dont mind.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Yeah, he's 30 years old now. Sometimes I look at him and wonder why I kept him, but then I remember all the times I shared secrets with him and I realize I can't get rid of him. He knows too much. LOL.
kimberley replied: you're too funny.
luvmykids replied: I'll admit I still have my stuffed lion, "Lelo" ( I couldn't say "Leo"). He could use some cosmetic surgery but I kind of think he's gotten better with age
Kaitlin'smom replied: I bet he does
Cece00 replied: Thats cute!! I still have one of my stuffed animals from when I was a kid, too. I'm not really attached to it, but I keep it anyway, it didnt seem right to just throw it away.

CantWait replied: If you think that's ratty, I'm going to take a picture of my baby bunny now, and then you'll see pathetic. I think he's cute, and I certainly can't laugh cause like I just said, I still have my bunny from the time I was born.
PrairieMom replied: very sweet. He doesn't look ratty to me at all.
